NORRMANSÖ Outdoor Bench Assembly Instructions

This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA NORRMANSÖ outdoor bench.

Before You Begin

Ensure you have a Phillips head screwdriver ?.
Do not force parts together. Ensure correct alignment before assembly.
If you are unsure about any step, please refer to these instructions or contact IKEA customer support. ?

Hardware Included

8x Long threaded bolt (Part 114729)
6x Short bolt (Part 106581)
6x Short bolt (Part 117192)
8x Connector sleeve (Part 10089533)
8x Washer/Nut (Part 10079214)
1x Hex key (L-shaped, Part 100049)
1x Hex key (L-shaped, Part 100001)

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Attach 8x connector sleeves (10089533) to the ends of four wooden beams. Insert 8x long threaded bolts (114729) through the sleeves and into the beams. Tighten using the hex key (100001).

Step 2

Connect two wooden frame pieces. Insert 4x screws (10079214) with washers/nuts. Tighten with the hex key (100049). Ensure correct alignment as indicated in the diagram.

Step 3

Attach the vertical support legs to the main frame. Use 4x short bolts (117192) and the hex key (100001). Important: Use bolt 117192 for this step. Do NOT use bolt 106581 (indicated by ❌).

Step 4

Attach the central support beam. Insert 2x long threaded bolts (106581) through the frame and into the central beam. Tighten using the hex key (100001). Important: Use bolt 106581 for this step. Do NOT use bolt 117192 (indicated by ❌).

Step 5

Attach the second set of vertical support legs. Similar to Step 3, use 2x short bolts (106581) and the hex key (100001). Important: Use bolt 106581 for this step. Do NOT use bolt 117192 (indicated by ❌).

Step 6

Attach the tabletop support beams. Insert 4x screws (10079214) and tighten with the hex key (100049).

Step 7

Attach the main tabletop structure to the frame. Insert 2x long threaded bolts (106581) through the frame and into the tabletop supports. Tighten using the hex key (100001). Important: Use bolt 106581 for this step. Do NOT use bolt 117192 (indicated by ❌).

Step 8

Secure the tabletop structure. Insert 2x short bolts (117192) into the remaining holes. Tighten using the hex key (100001). Important: Use bolt 117192 for this step. Do NOT use bolt 106581 (indicated by ❌).

Step 9

Carefully flip the assembled bench upright. The diagram shows an arrow indicating rotation. Finally, secure any remaining fasteners or decorative caps using the hex key (100001). The diagram shows 4x fasteners and indicates correct and incorrect tightening methods.
