Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and correct installation:
Step 1: Mounting the Bracket
Diagram Description: A diagram shows a mounting bracket being attached to a ceiling joist or electrical box using screws. The bracket is a metal plate with holes for screws and a hook for hanging the fan motor temporarily.
Securely attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling outlet box or directly to a ceiling joist using the provided screws. Ensure the bracket is firmly fixed and can support the weight of the fan.
Step 2: Wiring the Fan
Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates the electrical connections. Wires from the ceiling (Live, Neutral, Ground) are shown connecting to corresponding wires from the fan motor (typically Black for Live, White for Neutral, Green for Ground). Terminal blocks or wire nuts are used for connections.
Turn off power at the source. Connect the fan's wires to the house wiring according to the diagram: Connect the fan's Black wire (Live) to the house's Black wire. Connect the fan's White wire (Neutral) to the house's White wire. Connect the fan's Green wire (Ground) to the house's Ground wire or the mounting bracket. Use wire connectors securely.
Step 3: Attaching the Fan Motor
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the fan motor housing being lifted and hung onto the hook of the mounting bracket. This allows for hands-free wiring.
Lift the fan motor assembly and hang it on the hook provided on the mounting bracket. This allows for easier and safer wiring connections.
Step 4: Completing Wiring and Securing the Motor
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the wiring connections being finalized and the fan motor being secured to the mounting bracket by aligning slots on the motor housing with tabs on the bracket and twisting.
Complete all wire connections as described in Step 2. Once wiring is secure, lift the fan motor off the temporary hook and align the slots on the motor housing with the tabs on the mounting bracket. Rotate the motor housing to lock it into place.
Step 5: Attaching Fan Blades
Diagram Description: A diagram shows fan blades being attached to the motor housing using screws. Each blade typically attaches to a blade iron (or bracket), which then screws into the motor.
Attach the fan blades to the motor housing using the provided screws. Ensure each blade is securely fastened.
Step 6: Installing the Light Kit (if applicable)
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the light kit assembly being attached to the bottom of the fan motor housing. This usually involves connecting a wire plug and securing the light fixture with screws.
If your fan includes a light kit, connect the light kit's wiring plug to the corresponding plug on the fan motor. Then, attach the light kit assembly to the fan motor housing using the provided screws.
Step 7: Final Assembly
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the completed fan with blades attached, the canopy cover in place, and the light kit installed. Pull chains for fan speed and light control are visible.
Install any decorative covers or pull chains as needed. Ensure all parts are securely fastened.
Operation
Your GLOBO 0390S ceiling fan offers multiple speed settings and light control.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows a remote control with buttons labeled for fan speed (HI, MED, LOW, OFF) and light control (ON/OFF, Dimming).
- HI: Turns the fan on to the highest speed setting.
- MED: Turns the fan on to the medium speed setting.
- LOW: Turns the fan on to the lowest speed setting.
