Cudy WR1200 Quick Installation Guide
Getting Started
This guide provides instructions for setting up your Cudy WR1200 wireless router.
Note: If your internet source is an Ethernet cable directly from the wall (instead of a modem), connect this cable to the router’s WAN port and skip steps 1, 2, and 3.
Hardware Setup
Step 1: Prepare the Modem
Turn off your modem. If it has a battery, remove it.
Step 2: Connect Router to Modem
Connect the router’s WAN port to your DSL/Cable Modem or Ethernet source using an Ethernet cable.
Step 3: Power On Modem
Turn on the modem and wait approximately 2 minutes for it to restart.
Step 4: Connect Router Power
Connect the power adapter to the router.
Step 5: Verify Hardware Connection
Check the router's LEDs (Power, WiFi, Internet, WAN, LAN1-LAN4) to ensure the hardware is connected correctly.
Computer Connection & Setup
Step 6: Connect Your Computer
You can connect your computer to the router in two ways:
- Wired: Turn off Wi-Fi on your computer and connect it to one of the router’s LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.
- Wireless: Connect your device to the router’s Wi-Fi network using the SSID (network name) and Password printed on the bottom of the router.
Step 7: Access Setup Interface
Launch a web browser and enter either
http://cudy.net/
orhttp://192.168.10.1/
in the address bar.Log in using 'admin' as the password.
Step 8: Configure Internet Connection
The setup wizard will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions step-by-step to configure your internet connection. This typically involves setting the Operation Mode, Timezone, WAN settings, and Wireless settings.
Once the setup is complete, you can enjoy internet access.
Router Features
RST/WPS Button
- Press and hold for 1 second to enable the WPS function.
- Press and hold for approximately 6 seconds to reset the router to its factory default settings.
