Getting Started
Step 1: Insert SIM Card
Insert your SIM card into the router's SIM slot, ensuring the chip faces downwards.
Step 2: Power On the Router
Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into an electrical outlet to power on the device.
Step 3: Connect Your Devices
Connect your devices (e.g., laptop, smartphone) to the router using Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable. The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are printed on a label on the bottom of the router.
Step 4: Check the LED Indicator
- Solid White LED: The router has successfully connected to the cellular network. You can now enjoy Internet access.
- Solid Red LED: The router has not connected to the cellular network. Please continue with Step 5.
Note: For some Internet Service Provider (ISP) SIM cards (such as Verizon), the initial Internet connection may take longer than usual. Please wait an additional 2-5 minutes.
Initial Setup and Configuration
Step 5: Access Router Interface
Open a web browser on a device connected to the router (e.g., phone, laptop, tablet). Navigate to either http://cudy.net or http://192.168.10.1. Create a strong administrator password to log in and follow the on-screen, step-by-step setup wizard.
Important Notes and Troubleshooting
- If you are unsure about the Access Point Name (APN) or PIN code required for your SIM card, please contact your cellular Internet provider for assistance.
- If you experience weak cellular signal strength, try relocating the 4G router to a position closer to a window or in a more open area, then check the connection again.
LED Status Indicators
- OFF: The router is not powered on.
- Flashing Red: The router is attempting to establish a connection with the cellular network.
- Red: The router has failed to connect to the cellular network.
- Flashing White: The router is connecting to the Internet.
- White: The router is successfully connected to the Internet.
- Flashing Red and White Alternately: The router is booting up or undergoing a firmware update.
