Important Information

Please read this important information before using your watch.

Battery

The battery in your watch was installed at the factory and should be replaced immediately if you notice signs of insufficient power, such as the backlight not turning on or a dim display. Contact your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor for replacement.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I through V) according to the specifications listed below. Ensure you use your watch according to its water resistance rating for proper operation.

Case MarkingSwimming, Car Washing, etc.Skin Diving, Snorkeling, etc.Scuba Diving
No MarkingNoNoNo
WATER RESISTANTYesNoNo
50M WATER RESISTANTYesNoNo
100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
200M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes
300M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes

Notes for Corresponding Sections:

  • Level I: The watch is not water resistant. Avoid getting any moisture on it.
  • Level III: Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
  • Level IV: If your watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.
  • Level V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).

Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity that would immerse the strap in water.

For Watches with Plastic Straps

  • You may find a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by simply wiping with a cloth.
  • Sweat or moisture on a plastic strap, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for your plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.

For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent coloring to gradually fade.
  • Extended contact with moisture may also cause the fluorescent coloring to fade. If any moisture gets onto the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent coloring to discolor. Ensure the fluorescent surface is kept dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Heavy rubbing of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can cause the fluorescent paint to transfer to that surface.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept any claims from third parties.

Care of Your Watch

  • Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
  • The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
  • If moisture enters the watch, have it checked by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor immediately.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. There should be space for a finger between your wrist and the strap.
  • To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances such as gasoline, thinners, spray cleaners, etc.
  • When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
  • Some watch models have silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
