General Precautions

To ensure proper use and longevity of your Casio watch, please observe the following precautions:

Battery Information

The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If the display becomes dim, it indicates low battery power. Please have the battery replaced by a CASIO authorized service center or dealer.

Water Resistance

Watch water resistance is categorized by levels. Consult the table below to understand your watch's capabilities. Note that water resistance ratings are based on testing under laboratory conditions and do not guarantee performance in all situations.

For all water-resistant watches, do not press buttons underwater, set hands underwater, or unscrew the crown underwater.

If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.

Do not wear a watch with a leather band while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather bands with water.

Notes on Plastic and Fluorescent Bands/Cases

Plastic Bands

A whitish powdery substance may appear on plastic bands. This is harmless and can be removed by wiping with a cloth. Sweat or moisture on a plastic band, or storage in high humidity, can cause damage. Wipe the band with a soft cloth to maintain its condition.

Fluorescent Cases and Bands

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade. Wipe off any moisture from the watch surface promptly. Avoid contact with other surfaces that may transfer color.

General Description of Operating Modes

The watch features several operating modes accessible via buttons. The illustration shows the Current Time Mode.

Operating Modes

Countdown Timer Mode

The countdown timer can be set from 1 to 30 minutes. A long beep sounds when the countdown reaches zero, which can be stopped by pressing any button.

Setting the Timer: In Countdown Timer Mode, press button 'A' to select the desired countdown time (1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes, or reset to zero). The countdown begins automatically after selection.

Alarm Mode

This mode allows you to set a daily alarm that sounds for 20 seconds at the set time. You can also enable an Hourly Chime function, which provides two short beeps at the start of each hour.

Checking the Hourly Chime: In Alarm Mode, press button 'C' to test the hourly chime.

Setting the Alarm:

  1. In Alarm Mode, press button 'A'. The hour digits will flash.
  2. Press button 'C' to adjust the hour.
  3. Press button 'A' to move to minute setting.
  4. Press button 'C' to adjust the minutes.
  5. Press button 'A' to confirm settings.

Holding button 'C' allows for faster adjustment. Pressing button 'B' at any point returns the watch to Current Time Mode.

Alarm and Hourly Chime On/Off: In Alarm Mode, press button 'C' to cycle through the following settings: All On, All Off, Alarm Only, Hourly Chime Only.

Stopwatch Mode

The Stopwatch Mode measures elapsed time intervals up to 59 minutes and 59.99 seconds.

Measuring Time Intervals: Press 'C' to Start, 'C' to Stop, 'C' to Restart, 'C' to Stop, and 'A' to Reset.

Current Time/Date Setting Mode

This mode is used to set the current time and date.

  1. In setting mode, press button 'C' to adjust seconds.
  2. Press button 'A' to advance through settings: Seconds → Hours → Minutes → 12/24 Hour Format → Year → Month → Day → Day of the Week → Seconds.
  3. Use button 'C' to change the values for minutes, hours, etc. Holding 'C' speeds up adjustment. The day of the week is set automatically based on the date. The year can be set between 2000 and 2099.
  4. Press button 'B' to exit setting mode.

Backlight

Press button 'L' in any mode to activate the backlight. The backlight will automatically turn off if an alarm sounds.

Note: The backlight uses LED panels, which may dim over time. The audible signal during illumination is normal and due to vibrating elements, not a malfunction. Backlight visibility is reduced in direct sunlight. Frequent backlight use reduces battery life.
