Important Information

Please read this important information before using your watch.

Battery

The battery is installed at the factory and should be replaced by a CASIO dealer or distributor at the first sign of insufficient power (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display).

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by rating (I to V) according to their water resistance. Consult the table below for correct usage.

RatingCase MarkingSplashes, Rain, etc.Washing Car, Swimming, etc.Scuba Diving, etc.Skin Diving
IWATER RESISTANT✔️
II50M WATER RESISTANT✔️
III100M WATER RESISTANT✔️✔️
IV200M WATER RESISTANT✔️✔️✔️
V300M WATER RESISTANT✔️✔️✔️✔️

Notes for respective ratings:

  • I: The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid any moisture.
  • III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
  • IV: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Watches can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
  • Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may be submerged in water.

Care of Your Watch

  • Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
  • The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years. If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer or distributor.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should be able to fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • Clean the watch and strap with a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with an aqueous solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
  • When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials will damage gaskets, cases, and watch finishes.
  • Some models have silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.
  • For watches with plastic straps: You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is not harmful to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Exposure of a plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can cause damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for a plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.
  • For watches with fluorescent cases and straps: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept claims from third parties.
