2 ASSEMBLY INFORMATION
Follow these steps for assembly:
-
Step A: Prepare Cable and Bushing
Place the bushing (1) and chuck (2) over the cable. Important: Chuck and Bushing cannot be placed over the cable after the assembly of the insert.
Recommendation for easier assembly: Use a cable lubricant, such as Wire Pulling Lubricant - LUB-I/0.95 from 3M™.
-
Step B: Separate Housing
Separate the housing from the bushing, ensuring the cable remains in the bushing.
-
Step C: Place Chuck
Place the chuck over the cable.
-
Step D: Prepare Cable Stripping
Prepare the cable as shown in the diagram. This involves stripping the cable to specific lengths:
- Outer jacket strip: 40-50 mm
- Inner wire insulation strip: 20 mm [0.787"]
- Ground wire (PE) exposure: 8 mm [0.32"]
- Overall PE wire length from jacket edge: 23 mm [0.9"]
Torx size: T8
Torque Value: 0.7 Nm (6.2 inch-pound / 0.52 lb-ft)
Typical Wiring Standards:
Typical Wiring IEC 60320-1 / EN IEC 60320-1 UL 60320-1 / CSA C22.2 No. 60320-1 L (Line) brown black N (Neutral) blue white PE (Ground) green/yellow green -
Step E: Insert Cable into Contacts
Slide the cable into the contacts and clamp with the screw using the T8 Torx size. Ensure proper torque is applied.
-
Step F: Assemble Insert and Housing
Slide the chuck onto the insert (1) and then both into the housing (2). Important: Align the chuck by positioning the nose into the keyway.
-
Step G: Secure Cable Clamp
Slide the cable clamp (3) bushing up the cable and tighten it with the tool (4) as shown (5). Important: Ensure the black O-ring is correctly positioned to achieve IP protection (6).
Tool available: Art. No. HTAC
3 FOR DISASSEMBLY
OPEN TWIST LOCK!
- Press with a screwdriver to unlock.
- Turn the bushing 360°.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the bushing is fully unscrewed.
4 SAFETY INFORMATION
