Important Notes & Troubleshooting
Installation and Charging Notes:
- Avoid direct exposure to rain to prolong the camera's life.
- When not charging, ensure the camera's power port is covered with rubber caps to prevent moisture.
- During charging, open the rubber cover on the back and use the dedicated charging cable. If the charging status is not visible in the app, exit and re-enter the live view page.
Reducing False Alarms:
- Do not point the camera towards objects with intense lights, including sunlight or bright lamps.
- Do not position the camera near air conditioner vents, humidifiers, or projector heat vents.
- Do not install the camera in windy locations.
- Do not point the camera towards a mirror.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers and phones, to avoid wireless interference.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
For more detailed FAQs, access the APP and search within "Me" > "FAQ" > "HelpDocument" > "Battery Camera".
Fast Power Consumption?
- In case of poor Wi-Fi coverage (signal below 75%), power consumption will increase.
- Frequent PIR activation and the use of infrared/white light at night increase power consumption.
- Frequent remote access to the camera via a mobile phone also increases power consumption.
- For initial use, it is recommended to charge the battery to 100% to ensure lithium battery health.
Camera Offline?
- Confirm good Wi-Fi coverage and a stable network (signal strength > 75%).
- Consider using a third-party Wi-Fi analyzer tool.
- If coverage is poor or interference is high, reposition the camera, adjust router placement, or consider a different router.
- Avoid using Wi-Fi extenders.
Update Router or Wi-Fi Password?
Delete the camera from your CloudEdge account. After resetting the device, use the new Wi-Fi and password to add it again.
Frequent Alarms?
- In the app, lower the motion detection alarm sensitivity.
- Check for objects that may interfere with and trigger the PIR sensor (e.g., outdoor AC units, passing cars, pedestrians). Adjust the camera's angle appropriately to avoid these triggers.
- Enable "human motion detection" and use the humanoid algorithm to filter out unnecessary alarms.
Camera Not Detecting?
- In case of an unstable network, alerts may be delayed after PIR activation. Confirm network status and try moving the camera to an area with better network coverage.
- An inappropriate installation position may prevent the PIR from activating. If the position is too high, the object is too far, or too small, the camera may not activate. Adjust the installation position based on trigger requirements.
Micro SD Card Not Recognized?
- The supported capacity is a Micro SD card from 16-128 GB.
- Before use, format the Micro SD card as FAT32 or exFAT on a computer, then insert it into the camera and perform a memory card format operation on the camera.
- If the Micro SD card is not recognized during use, it is generally due to the card's quality. Replace the memory card with one that has more stable read/write performance.
