IX. Battery Management & Recharge

1. Battery Management

The camera has a built-in 5200mAh 21700 lithium battery, with a theoretical life of 3 months assuming 3 minutes of wake-up per day. If the battery drains quickly, it may be due to frequent wake-ups. Consider lowering the "Motion Detection Sensitivity".

2. Power Adapter Recharge

Charge the camera using a DC 5V 2A Adapter (not included). The charging indicator is yellow while charging and turns green when fully charged (approx. 10 hours).

3. Solar Panel Recharge

The camera supports charging with a DIHOOM solar panel. Do not use other solar panels. Solar charging is less efficient but can meet most security needs. Ensure the solar panel is well-connected and receives strong sunlight.

Refer to the Solar Panel Install Guide for more charging information.

X. Troubleshooting Table

No. Issues Solution and operation
1 Connection cannot be established 1) Check WiFi name and password. 2) Ensure WiFi is 2.4G (5G not supported). 3) Verify camera, phone, and router are close. 4) Contact customer service if issues persist.
2 Reset to default 1) Double press the power button. 2) Hear "Ding Dong Ding Dong". 3) Blue light flashing.
3 How to connect the camera to new WiFi network 1) Double press the power button for factory reset. 2) Remove the camera from the VicoHome APP. 3) Re-connect.
4 Alarm picture without persons 1) Camera may need time to wake up, or people are moving too fast. 2) Overheating objects may trigger PIR; lower PIR sensitivity.
5 Frequent alarm 1) Change installation angle due to environment or frequent vehicle movement. 2) Adjust camera alarm sensitivity to "low".
6 Why is someone crossing without alarm? PIR inspection area has limitations. Person may be too far, too close, or pass quickly from a corner, resulting in undetected motion.
7 No alarm push Enable notification in VicoHome app mobile settings.
8 No alarm video recording Insert Micro SD card or enable cloud storage.
9 Device offline Check network. Camera may be too far from the router, causing poor WiFi coverage.
10 Video delay Check WiFi network. Ensure the distance between the camera and router is not too long.
11 Short battery life Camera may be waking up too often. Avoid placing it near roadsides or in direct sunlight.
12 Unable to charge 1) Use a 5V 1A/2A USB power adapter. 2) Check if the charging indicator is yellow (normal) or off (unsuccessful). Verify the power adapter and charging cable are functional.
