Battery Charger Operation
Congratulations on purchasing your new SCA 2.5A charger. For your personal safety, read, understand, and follow the information provided in this instruction manual and on the battery charger. Never expose the battery charger to rain, snow, water, fog, or high humidity.
This SCA battery charger is a sophisticated 3-stage pulse charger, utilising switch-mode technology, designed to charge 12-volt DC Lead Acid batteries and AGM batteries.
As a Lead Acid and AGM batteries charger, the unit provides a safe method of restoring discharged batteries through a three-stage charging process.
Steps:
- Simply connect the charger output clamps to the battery terminal: Red clamp to battery +, Black clamp to battery.
- Then plug the power input plug into a suitable 240V power socket. The charging will start automatically.
Charging Stages:
Boost & Absorption stage (Charging indicator on):
The battery charger delivers bulk charging current up to 2.5 Amps into the battery being charged.
Float stage (Fully Charged indicator on):
The battery charger output current is reduced. The battery is brought up to 95% recharged state and is constantly maintained at this level.
Colour Condition Indicators:
- Red: Indicates charger power is ready for charging.
- Green: Battery charging in boost & absorption stage.
- Orange: Battery charging in float stage.

Warranty
This product is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months from date of purchase. This warranty is provided by Super Cheap Auto Pty Ltd ACN 085 395 124 (SCA) of 751 Gympie Rd Lawnton QLD 4501 Ph (07) 3482 7500. SCA will offer a repair, replacement product, or store credit if the product is assessed as being defective in workmanship and materials during the warranty period.
To claim under this warranty, take this product to the Front Service Desk of your nearest SCA store. For store locations, visit www.supercheapauto.com.au (AUS) or www.supercheapauto.co.nz (NZ). You will need your receipt or proof of purchase. Additional information may be requested of you to process your claim. Should you not be able to provide proof of purchase with a receipt or a bank statement, identification showing your name, address, and signature may be required to process your claim.
This product may need to be sent to the manufacturer to assess the defect before determining any claim. Faults or defects caused by product modification, misuse and abuse, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow user instructions are not covered under this warranty.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Any expense relating to the return of the product to the store will be at the cost of the customer. For online purchases, where you are unable to reach a local SCA store, SCA will pay the return freight for any product assessed as having a major failure.
The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the goods and services to which this warranty relates.
