Warranty
This product is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months from date of purchase. This warranty is provided by Super Cheap Auto Pty Ltd ACN 085 395 124 (SCA) of 751 Gympie Rd Lawnton QLD 4501 Ph (07) 3482 7500. SCA will offer a repair, replacement product or store credit if the product is assessed as being defective in workmanship and materials during the warranty period.
To claim under this warranty, take this product to the Front Service Desk of the nearest SCA store. For store locations, visit www.supercheapauto.com.au (AUS) or www.supercheapauto.co.nz (NZ). A receipt or proof of purchase is required. Additional information may be requested to process a claim. If proof of purchase (receipt or bank statement) is unavailable, identification showing name, address, and signature may be required.
This product may need to be sent to the manufacturer to assess the defect before determining any claim. Faults or defects caused by product modification, misuse and abuse, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow user instructions are not covered under this warranty.
Goods supplied by SCA come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Consumers are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Any expense relating to the return of the product to the store will be at the cost of the customer. For online purchases, where a local SCA store is unreachable, SCA will pay the return freight for any product assessed as having a major failure.
The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the goods and services to which this warranty relates.

Congratulations on the purchase of the new SCA12V 4A charger. For personal safety, read, understand, and follow the information provided in this instruction manual and on the battery charger. Never expose the battery charger to rain, snow, water, fog, or high humidity.
Installation & Safety Precautions

The battery charger is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.
- During the charging process, do not use a naked flame near a battery. Batteries generate explosive gases during the charging process that may explode.
- Never smoke or light cigarettes near a battery.
- Do not place tools on top of the battery or allow tools to fall on the battery.
- Always wear eye protection near a charging battery.
- Ensure a well-ventilated area is used when testing or recharging batteries.
- Ensure ventilation is adequate and venting holes are not obstructed. Inadequate ventilation may overheat the unit and cause inefficient operation.
- The battery charger is not intended for outdoor use. Do not expose it to extreme weather conditions.
- If skin or clothing comes in contact with acid, flush the areas with water immediately. Seek medical attention if necessary.
- The battery charger contains hazardous voltages. There are no user-serviceable components inside. If the AC supply cord is damaged, to avoid a hazard, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or service agent or a qualified person.
Charger Technology
The SCA 12V 4 Amp battery charger is a sophisticated 3-stage pulse charger, utilizing switch mode technology, designed to charge 12 volt DC Lead Acid batteries and AGM, GEL, and Calcium batteries. With an inbuilt pulse charging feature active across each of the 3 stages, this charger provides a safe method of restoring deeply discharged batteries.
Battery Charger Operation
Simply connect the charger output clamps to the battery terminal: Red clamp to battery + (positive), Black clamp to battery - (negative). Then plug the power input plug into a suitable 240V power socket and switch on. The charging process will start automatically.
Boost & Absorption Stage (Charging indicator on):
The battery charger delivers bulk charging current up to 4 Amps into the battery being charged.
Float Stage (Fully Charged indicator on):
The battery charger output current is reduced. The battery is brought up to 95% recharged state and is constantly maintained at this level.
Color LED Condition
- Red — Indicates charger power is ready for charging
