This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new electric scooter. Be sure to read ALL OF THE INFORMATION in this manual before riding.
NOTE TO ALL RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: It's very important that you get parental permission before riding your electric scooter.
Don't Ride Until You Read This:
- ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding your electric bike.
- Make sure your electric bike has a full battery before taking it out to ride.
- Always be aware of local road laws, and follow them.
- Do not ride the bike under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Always respect pedestrians.
- Do not ride under wet conditions. The electric bike may slide from under your feet causing injury. Wet conditions may damage the electronics and void the warranty.
Warning Message
- Avoid water - The electric bike is not waterproof. The electronics may be damaged due to water, and water damage is not covered by our warranty. Riding in wet conditions is also very dangerous and may result in injury.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun or rain and avoid storage in places with high temperatures or corrosive gas.
- Abuse - GOTRAX does not cover physical damage due to negligent care and extreme riding.
- Risk of Injury - Whenever you ride the GOTRAX Electric Bike, you risk severe injury or even death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Use caution and ride at your own risk.
- Modification Prohibition - Do not modify the product from the manufacturer's original design.
- Obey Traffic Laws - Do not exceed the posted speed limit and obey all traffic laws.
- Charging Port Safety - Avoid touching the charging port directly and do not let it make contact with a metal object.
- Moving Parts Safety - Keep hands and all body parts away from moving parts while operating the electric bike.
- Pre-Ride Check - Before riding, be sure to check the electric bike over and make sure it is operating correctly before each use.
- Braking System Check - Before riding, be sure to check the braking system is functioning properly; also be sure to check that all safety labels are in place and you understand the safety warnings.
- Guard Check - Before riding, be sure that any and all axle guards, chain guards, or covers supplied by the manufacturer are in place and in serviceable condition.
- Tire Check - Before riding, be sure to check that the tires are in good condition, inflated properly, and have sufficient tread remaining.
- Load Limit - Never exceed the 264 lb (120 kg) maximum load rating.
- Age Restriction - The electric bike should never be used by children under the age of 16.
- Maximum Speed - Your electric bike has a maximum speed of 20mph.
- Insurance Recommendation - Make note that additional insurance may be required to cover situations you encounter while riding an electric bike. It is recommended that you contact an insurance company or broker for advice and consultation.
- Energy Conservation - To conserve electricity, use assist mode and avoid zero starting, frequent braking, driving against the wind, carrying heavy loads including other people, and riding with insufficient air pressure.
Unpacking and Product Specs
Remove all packaging material, then inspect each item for any accidental damage that may have occurred during shipping. You should find each of these items in your box:

Get To Know Your E-Bike
LCD Display: Shows speed, battery error indication, and mileage.
Stem: Connects handlebars to the frame.
Front Light: Provides illumination.
Suspension Fork: Absorbs shocks for a smoother ride.
Tire: Provides traction and support.
Disc Brake: For stopping power.
Motor: Powers the electric bike.
Wheel Chain: Transmits power from the pedals.
Crankset: Connects pedals to the chain.
Pedals: For manual propulsion.
Battery: Provides power to the motor.
Seat Post: Supports the saddle and allows height adjustment.
Saddle: For rider comfort.
Installing the Handlebar
- Loosen the screw of the handlebar stem first, and then turn the handlebar stem forward.
- Use tools to remove the screws from the handlebar fastener.
- Center the handlebars and adjust their angles to ensure best control and grip of your bike when riding.
- Install back the handlebar fastener and tighten the screws.
Adjusting the Seat Tube
- Loosen the quick-release screw and push the saddle down into the seat post.
- Adjust the height of the seat according to your needs and tighten the quick-release screw.
Note on Quick-Release Screw: Push the quick-release outward to unlock the handle, rotate the quick-release clockwise to tighten the handle, rotate it anticlockwise to loosen the handle, and then pull the quick-release inward to lock the handle.
Installing the Front Wheel
- Find the front wheel quick-release locking bolt from the toolkit.
- Remove the transportation fixing plastic sheet from the front wheel.
- Align the brake disc of the front wheel with the brake groove, and then slowly install the wheel into the front fork.
- Insert the quick-release screw into the front wheel axis. Please note that the screw is equipped with two springs. Install one spring on each side of the wheel axis and tighten the screws. Then pull the quick-release screw inward to fix it.
Mounting Pedal
- Please check the L and R marks on pedals.
- Take the wrench from the tool box.
- Tighten the pedal counterclockwise on the left.
- Tighten the pedal clockwise on the right.
Removing the Battery
- Open the battery key [unlock symbol].
- Remove the battery.
Turn on/off the battery power
The battery is power off when received. Please press the "Red Button" beside the battery to turn it on.
Charge Your E-Bike: Method 1
Before using the electric bike, you must fully charge the battery.
1. Locate the charging port on the left side of the frame on the removable battery.
2. Plug the charger into a power supply.
3. A red light indicates the battery is charging; green indicates the battery is full.
4. Charging Time: 5-6 hours
Charge Your E-Bike: Method 2
- Remove the battery charger from the e-bike.
- Locate the charging port near the top of the battery.
- A red light indicates the battery is charging; green indicates the battery is full.
Installation of Mudguard
- Align the front fender screw hole with the front fork screw hole.
- First align the screw holes of the car lights with the screw holes of the fender and the front fork, and then tighten the screws with an Allen key.
- First fix the two parts of the rear fender with two screws.
- Align the rear fender with the screw hole of the rear fork, and fix the front and rear screws with a wrench.
E-Bike Console Functions
Display Includes: Speed, battery error indication, and mileage.
Communications Protocol: UART
Display Readouts:
- Max Speed/Average Speed: Displays current, maximum, and average speeds.
- Battery Level: Shows remaining battery charge as a percentage.
- Light: Indicates if the lights are on or off.
- Vehicle Mode/Power Strong/Power Mode: Indicates the current riding mode.
- Odometer, Trip, Voltage, Current, Time: Displays total distance, trip distance, voltage, current, and time.
Multi-function Indicators:
- Total Mileage
- Trip Mileage
- Error Code
- Power (WATT)
- Maintenance
Key Functions:
- A. Power & Mode Switch: Turn on the power switch on the battery, then long press the M key to switch modes.
- B. Riding Modes: Default state is gear 0 (environmental protection mode/manpower riding). Gears 1-5 are energy-saving mode (pedal-assistance) or electric mode. Gear 1 is the slowest, and gear 5 is the fastest.
- C. Light Control: Long press the UP key to switch the light.
- D. Settings Menu: Press the UP and DOWN keys simultaneously to enter the setting menu bar. You can modify backlight brightness and display units (MPH, KM/H).
- E. Cruise Control: Adjust the accelerator to your desired speed, then long press "-" to activate Cruise Control while riding. Rotate the accelerator to exit cruise mode.
