Hiseeu Security Camera System User Guide: App & NVR Control

This guide provides detailed instructions for configuring and operating your Hiseeu security camera system via the mobile application and Network Video Recorder (NVR).

Zoom and Focus

To access zoom and focus options, click the red "Pro" button on the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) interface. For optical zoom cameras, this function allows zooming in and out. Digital zoom cameras will be unresponsive to this feature; for digital zoom, swipe the screen to enlarge the image.

When the camera is out of focus during zoom operations, click the focus option to manually adjust. Avoid clicking this option if the image is already clear, as it may degrade the camera's image definition.

App Interface Description: The screen displays a live camera feed with controls at the bottom. These include icons for cloud storage, events, preset, and more. Below the live feed, there's a circular control pad with "+" and "-" buttons for Zoom and Focus, along with "Preset", "Set", and "Go to" options.

Setup Function

The setup menu provides access to various camera configurations.

App Interface Description: The setup screen shows options like "Motion Detection and Notifications", "Camera settings", "Recording setting", "Screen and sound settings", "PTZ control", "Storage settings", "Advanced settings", and "About".

Motion Detection Alert

Motion detection alerts can be configured to suit your needs.

Motion Detection Sensitivity

If you receive excessive false alarms, reduce the motion detection sensitivity. The app allows setting sensitivity to low, medium, or high.

Humanoid Detection & Motion Tracking

Enable "Humanoid detection" to specifically detect human figures. With "Motion tracking" enabled, the camera will automatically pan to follow detected human movement.

Motion Detection Period

Choose from four detection periods: "All day", "Day model" (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), "Night model" (8 p.m. to 8 a.m.), or customize your own detection time.

Motion Detection Area Setting

Define specific detection zones using "Area mode" or "Cordon mode". An alarm triggers when an object enters the defined area (Area mode) or crosses a set line (Cordon mode), helping to reduce false alarms. If the detection area is set too wide, the camera will default to full-screen detection.

Siren Setting

The siren can be switched on or off. When someone enters the alarm area, the camera will emit an alarm sound.

Warning Light

For dual-lens optical zoom cameras, a warning light can be manually turned on/off via an icon on the live view. To set up auto light alarm, navigate to "Settings" > "Motion detection alert" and enable the "Warning light" option. The light will trigger when human movement is detected.

Recording Setting

There are two primary recording modes: "Event recording" and "Uninterrupted recording".

Record Sound Switch

If this option is off, you will not hear sound during live view or playback.

Time Record

For time-based recording, you can select specific dates and time periods, and create multiple recording plans (e.g., weekdays only, weekends only). You can also customize the recording time schedule.

App Interface Description: The recording schedule screen allows adding time periods. Options include "Every day", "Working day" (Monday to Friday), "Weekend" (Saturday, Sunday), and "Customize". You can set start and end times for each period.

Screen and Sound Settings

Night Vision Mode

Choose from three night vision modes:

You can also choose to keep the infrared light on constantly (image remains black and white) or turn off night vision entirely (maintains full-color night vision).

Image Rotation 180°

Turn this on if the camera is installed upside down.

Device Call Volume

Adjust the volume for the two-way audio function.

Privacy Area

Block parts of the screen with color boxes to protect privacy. The privacy area supports size changes and location movement.

Humanoid Detection Frame

When enabled, the camera will frame detected human figures and push alarm notifications.

PTZ Control

PTZ Speed

Adjust the camera's rotation speed (High, Medium, Low) if it moves too fast.

Cruise Mode

Two options are available:

PTZ Control Direction Flip

If the camera's direction is reversed after installation, enable this option to flip the PTZ control, making it rotate in the opposite direction.

Storage Settings

View cloud storage usage, SD card status, and capacity.

SD Card Management

If an SD card is inserted but not recording, check its status. If it's full, format the SD card to delete all records. Always power off the device before inserting or removing the SD card.

Cloud Storage Management

Check your cloud storage order status. Note that cloud storage service is typically a paid feature.

Download Local Video Files

Download recorded videos from this interface.

Advanced Settings

Device Voice Prompt

Configure the language for device voice prompts.

Connect New Wi-Fi

Change the camera's Wi-Fi network name and password.

Time Settings

After connecting the camera, synchronize its time with your phone. If the time is still incorrect, manually select the time zone. The app also supports setting daylight saving time for various countries.

Alexa Service Authorization

Enable Alexa integration to control the camera via Amazon Alexa. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Alexa app.
  2. Go to "More" > "Skills & Games".
  3. Search for "EseeCloud" and select the skill.
  4. Click "ENABLE TO USE".
  5. Input your EseeCloud account and password.
  6. Select "DISCOVER DEVICES".
  7. Wait approximately 45 seconds for Alexa to find your device. Once found, you can view the camera on Echo Show devices.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: How to add the camera to the system?

A: We recommend adding the new camera by scanning the system QR code to link the NVR system to your phone. For K8208 and K8210 versions, use an Ethernet cable:

  1. Connect the camera and NVR box with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Right-click the mouse on the NVR's video manage interface, then click "Refresh" or "Search" to find the camera's IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.**).
  3. Click "Match code" and wait for the camera's IP address to change (e.g., to 172.20.14.**). Exit and choose to add the device.
  4. After pairing, you can unplug the Ethernet cable. Ensure the NVR and Wi-Fi camera are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

For K8508 and K8510 versions (New Interface UI):

  1. Connect the camera with the NVR via Ethernet cable.
  2. Right-click the mouse, navigate to "Camera", click the "+" icon, then click "continue".
  3. Enter the "searching for cameras" page. The camera will be added automatically. Unplug the Ethernet cable once added.

If you already have the NVR system connected via your phone app, you can add a new camera by ensuring your system is linked to the app. Go to the EseeCloud app interface and click the "+" icon. Then, place the new camera within 3 feet of the NVR and reset the camera. The app will search for and connect to the camera; click "confirm" to complete the process.

Q2: There are no recordings when I click playback.

A:

If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact Hiseeu Technical Support for assistance.

Q3: What can I do if the camera is offline?

A:

  1. Confirm the distance between the camera and your router. It is recommended to be within 15-25 feet. If the distance is too far, the camera may go offline.
  2. Ensure the camera antenna is vertical and upward, preferably on the same horizontal line as the router.

Q4: I didn't receive motion detection alarms on my smartphone.

A:

  1. Go to the App, click the settings icon (⚙️) in the upper right corner, and enable "Alarm push".
  2. Go to "Me" > "Settings" > enable "Notification banner". You will then receive push notifications when movement is detected.

Q5: There are too many motion detection notifications.

A:

  1. Go to "Setting interface" > click "Motion Detection Alert" > adjust the "Motion detection sensitivity" to medium or low.
  2. Alternatively, set the detection area by clicking the settings icon (⚙️) > "Smart detection alarm" > "Motion detection area setting" > "Screen detection area" > confirm.

Q6: How to use PTZ control on NVR?

A: Left-click your mouse on the NVR interface. A smart menu will appear. Click "PTZ control" to access the PTZ functions.
