Montarbo WIND PRO 215A Owner's Manual

Introduction

The Montarbo WIND PRO 215A is an amplified acoustic loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional performance in terms of power and quality. It features a "Quasi 3-way" acoustic design and a sophisticated audio signal processing system, setting a new standard for point-source sound. This system includes a 1.4" high-frequency coaxially horn-loaded driver, a 15" transducer with a 3" voice coil, and an additional 15" woofer with a 3" voice coil. The cabinet is constructed from birch plywood with a polyurea finish, offering high strength due to its internal wood and steel reinforcement structure. The two woofers, configured in a back-reflex system, provide a fast, powerful, and defined low-frequency response. An asymmetrical crossover ensures that only the upper woofer reproduces the vocal range, preventing mid-range interference. The coaxial coupling of the high-frequency driver results in a coherent and transparent overall response with linear 70° horizontal and 50° vertical dispersion. The Class-D amplifier utilizes two high-efficiency channels, delivering a total of 2400W RMS, enabling the speaker to produce 141dB SPL with a frequency response from 55 Hz to 18 kHz.

The WIND PRO series comprises four amplified loudspeakers (WIND PRO 208A, 210A, 212A, 215A) designed for excellent SPL and frequency response, each featuring 2 woofers, one coaxial. The compact, elegant design boasts a birch plywood cabinet with polyurea finish and reinforced internal structure. Advanced M-Modelling technology eliminates internal interference for a sound reproduction consistent with the input signal. All WIND PRO speakers include 2 Dante ports for analog-to-digital connectivity, allowing multiple units on a network. Specific bracket systems and flybars are available for suspension. The M-Connect software by Montarbo allows easy network control of each loudspeaker, offering user-friendly customization for parameters, levels, and mute functions. It also supports selecting analog and digital inputs, network parameters, and monitoring device temperature.

The EARTH PRO series includes two amplified subwoofers designed for high SPL and frequency response, featuring a similar elegant design and construction to the WIND PRO series. The 6th order band-pass configured woofer provides a fast, powerful, and extended bass response. Like the WIND PRO series, EARTH PRO subwoofers also feature M-Modelling technology, Dante ports, and M-Connect software for network control.
