Description
The Montarbo EARTH PRO 118A is an amplified subwoofer designed to deliver exceptional performance in terms of power and quality. Its acoustic design, combined with a sophisticated audio signal processing system, sets a new standard for subwoofers. This is achieved through an 18-inch transducer with a 4-inch high-excursion voice coil and advanced porting. The cabinet is constructed from birch plywood, finished with polyurea, and features a robust structure reinforced with internal wood and steel. The woofer, loaded in a 6th-order band-pass configuration, provides a fast, powerful, and extended low-frequency response.
The Class D amplification comprises a single high-efficiency channel delivering 2400W RMS, enabling sound pressure levels of 139 dB with a frequency response extending down to 30 Hz. An advanced 24-bit 96 kHz DSP ensures linearity and reliability, thanks to the innovative proprietary M-Modelling technology. This technology uses sophisticated digital algorithms to model phase and frequency response, delivering superb reproduction of the low-frequency range with unprecedented dynamics.
Eight presets, four of which are user-programmable, make the system suitable for any application. It also features analog and digital Dante inputs for versatile and complete plug-and-play connectivity. Two Ethercon connectors, shared with the Dante port, allow multiple units to be networked, providing access to various device parameters. The system architecture is managed by the proprietary M-Connect software, which offers a simple yet advanced interface for controlling and fine-tuning the installed system. A point-to-point Wi-Fi connection, accessible via a dedicated app, facilitates stand-alone control of basic parameters like volume and mute.
The EARTH PRO series subwoofers complement the WIND PRO range. A comprehensive range of Montarbo accessories for integrated and optional rigging allows for system installation in any usage scenario.
