Gewiss ChorusSmart Connected Axial 2-Command Module
Model Numbers: GWA1241, GWA1242
General Information
The ChorusSmart Connected Axial 2-Command Module is a flush-mounting device designed for sending 2 independent ZigBee commands via its 2 local axial push-buttons. It features 2 auxiliary inputs for sending ZigBee commands and statuses, compatible with traditional switches and sensors. The device includes two configurable LEDs for night-time localization or status indication of ON/OFF loads. It is designed to power the EGO SMART plate (GW16003SXX, GW16004SXX, GW16022SXX) it is housed within.
The module can send 2 ZigBee commands (ON/OFF, dimming, roller shutter control, general loads, scenes) via its local buttons. The auxiliary inputs can be used to add more ZigBee commands or to send sensor statuses. When used with the EGO SMART plate and the "SHIFT" function enabled, two additional ZigBee commands can be activated. The device also functions as a ZigBee router, forwarding messages to other devices.
With the front buttons removed, the central front push-button (accessible via Fig. C and G, point 1) can be used with insulated tools (up to 2500V AC) to open/close the ZigBee network and perform a factory reset.
Note: The device requires completion with specific front button keys: GWA1241 requires GW1x553S or GW1x557S; GWA1242 requires GW1x554S or GW1x558S. Lenses with symbol codes GW105xxA can also be used.
Functions
The device offers two independent front push-buttons for sending ZigBee commands and executing scenes. These buttons can perform functions such as:
- Sending ZigBee commands or statuses: ON/OFF/TOGGLE, Timed ON (stair-light), curtain/roller shutter control (single/double press), dimmer control (single/double press), scene command.
Auxiliary Inputs:
- Two independent auxiliary inputs can control local loads or send ZigBee commands to other devices. Both inputs can be connected to phase or neutral (not mixed).
- Input functions include: ON/OFF/TOGGLE, Timed ON, wired sensor status (0/1), curtain/roller shutter control, dimmer control, alarm, scene command.
Dual Function (SHIFT):
- When mounted in an EGO SMART plate, the SHIFT function allows a second set of commands to be sent via the front buttons.
Status Notifications (LED)
- Fixed Red: Device not configured
- Fixed Blue (50% brightness): Normal operation (default)
- Flashing Blue: Device identification in progress
- Fixed Yellow: Device start-up
- Fixed Green: ZigBee network opening
- Alternating Green/Red: Reset to default
ZigBee Network Management
- Opening Network: Press the front push-button once (Fig. C/G, point 1) to activate Permit Join. The LED turns green.
- Closing Network: Press the front push-button again. The network also closes automatically after 15 minutes.
Factory Reset
To reset the module to factory settings, press and hold the central local push-button (Fig. C/G, point 1) for more than 10 seconds.
Behavior on Power Supply Failure and Reset
During a power failure, the device loses power. Upon restoration, it initiates a start-up procedure indicated by a solid yellow LED. After this procedure, the LED returns to its pre-failure state as configured.
Assembly
Caution: All operations must be performed with the system de-energized.
- To remove front button keys, use leverage points indicated in Fig. E and I. Do not apply leverage elsewhere to avoid damage.
- Ensure the device's phase (L) is protected by a circuit breaker with a maximum rated current of 10A.
- Refer to the connection diagram (Fig. L) and Fig. D/H for terminal connections. The device must be wired as follows:
- Not connected
- Not connected
- Auxiliary input 2
- Auxiliary input 1
- Power supply phase
- Power supply neutral
Connect the cable to the terminal block on the upper side of the device (Fig. D/H, 2, point 1) for connection to the EGO SMART plate.
Maintenance
This device requires no special maintenance. Clean with a dry cloth.
Programming
To program and use the device and the smart home system, download the Home Gateway app from the Play Store or App Store.
