This document provides installation, function, and technical details for the GEWISS Chorusmart auxiliary axial command modules, models GW10677 and GW10678.
Safety and Usage Instructions
⚠️ ATTENTION:
- The safety of the device is guaranteed only if the safety and usage instructions are respected. Keep these instructions handy and ensure they are received by the installer and end user.
- This product must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed. Any other form of use should be considered improper and/or dangerous. Contact GEWISS SAT technical support if in doubt.
- The product must not be modified. Any modification will annul the warranty and may make the product dangerous.
- The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage if the product is improperly or incorrectly used or tampered with.
- Disconnect the mains voltage before installing the device or carrying out any work on it.
Environmental Disposal
The crossed-out bin symbol ?️ on the equipment or packaging indicates that the product must not be included with other general waste at the end of its working life. The user must take the worn product to a sorted waste centre or return it to the retailer when purchasing a new one. Products smaller than 25 cm can be returned free of charge to dealers with sales areas of at least 400m², without any purchase obligation. Proper sorted waste collection for recycling and environmentally compatible disposal helps avoid negative effects on the environment and health, and encourages the re-use and recycling of materials. GEWISS actively participates in operations that support the correct salvaging, re-use, and recycling of electric and electronic equipment.

General Information
The Chorusmart auxiliary axial command module is a flush-mounting device with a front push-button featuring axial activation. It is designed for use with auxiliary wired inputs of various GEWISS devices within the Chorusmart and EVO ranges, including:
- Chorusmart connected commands: two-way switch modules (GWA1201, GWA1202), dimmer modules (GWA1221, GWA1222), roller shutter modules (GWA1231, GWA1232), 2-command modules (GWA1241, GWA1242).
- Chorusmart connected actuators/sensors: 1-channel On/Off actuator (GW1x826), movement sensors (GW1x856).
- EVO commands: one-way switch modules (GW10671, GW10672), dimmer modules (GW10673, GW10674), roller shutter modules (GW10675, GW10676).
- It can also serve as a wired command for a connected 2-channel ZigBee interface (GWA1502).
The module can also directly command small resistive or weakly inductive loads such as ringers and buzzers (max. 10VA). In such cases, the front LEDs can only be used in localization mode.
Note: The device requires a front button key. GW10677 requires GW1x551S or GW1x555S. GW10678 requires GW1x552S or GW1x556S. (Lenses not included).
Functions
Front LED
The device features a blue front LED (refer to Figures B and D) with three functions:
- OFF: LED is always disabled.
- Localisation: LED is always enabled.
- Load status: LED is enabled when the load is ON.
LED functions are activated based on wiring connections:
- OFF Mode: Terminals N and LED are not connected.
- Localisation Mode: Terminal N connected to neutral (N), and LED terminal connected to phase (L).
- Load Status Mode: Terminal N connected to neutral (N), and LED terminal connected to the return line of the controlled load.
Connection Examples (Figure F)
The following diagrams illustrate various connection scenarios:
- Figure F2: Module with wired LED for Localisation function, connected for direct command of a 230V AC ringer.
- Figure F3: Module with wired LED for Localisation function, connected as a centralized OFF command to 3 EVO axial one-way switches.
- Figure F4: Module with wired LED for Localisation function, connected to a system with connected axial two-way switches. Wiring the auxiliary module to a single connected device enables multiple commands via the Zigbee network.
- Figure F5: Module with wired LED for Load Status function, connected as a local command for an axial command (connected or EVO).
- Figure F6: Module with wired LED for Localisation function, connected as a local command for an axial command (connected or EVO).
Output Contact
The device provides commands via a Normally Open (NO) output. This is a momentary (push-button) function: the output contact is ON when the axial button key is pressed and returns to OFF when released.
Assembly
⚠️ ATTENTION:
- All assembly operations must be performed with the system de-energized (no power).
- To remove front button keys, refer to Figures C and E. Apply leverage only at the indicated points to prevent irreparable damage to the device.
Refer to the connection diagrams in Figure F1. The terminals are numbered:
- Terminal 1: Not connected
- Terminal 2: NO output (OUT)
- Terminal 3: Not connected
- Terminal 4: LED input (100÷240V AC, 50/60Hz)
- Terminal 5: Power supply phase
- Terminal 6: Power supply neutral
NB: For centralized command (wired), a maximum of 20 devices can be connected.
Maintenance
This device is designed to require no particular maintenance. For cleaning, use a dry cloth.
