Safety and Warnings
Before You Start
- Check that all components are present and that you are ENTIRELY happy with the size, design, and finish before starting installation.
- Locate blind plug, purge plug, and fastenings in the package. Remove carefully to avoid damaging the radiator's paint.
- Contact the supplier immediately if any parts are missing or damaged.
- Radiator must be installed using the supplied brackets.
- Fixings are for solid wall connections. For hollow walls (e.g., plasterboard), fix to internal timbers or use appropriate fixings.
- Before drilling or fixing into walls, floors, or ceilings, check for any pipes and wires.
- Remove and dispose of plastic caps on threaded connections before installation.
- Position the radiator for easy connection to the central heating system. Use dimensioned sketches to drill holes correctly.
- Radiator valves are not supplied and must be installed. A thermostatic valve is recommended for comfort and economy.
- Fitting reflective panels behind the radiator can improve efficiency.
Safety
- Never allow children or persons unable to operate the appliance safely to use it without supervision.
- Dispose of plastic bags carefully and keep them away from children.
- Note that the contents include small/sharp components that should be handled with care. Keep away from children.
- Lift the radiator using correct posture, holding from both ends. Call for assistance if too heavy.
Warning
- Once fitted, the radiator requires plumbing and commissioning into a central heating system. Seek professional advice if unsure.
- Panel radiators must never be left without water, as this can cause corrosion and perforation. Frequent changes of water and refilling with oxygen-rich water accelerate corrosion.
- Do not use panel radiators in outdoor areas. Ambient temperature should not fall below 0°C to prevent freezing damage.
- This radiator is NOT recommended for centralized national heating systems. Use in such systems may reduce warranty to 2 years due to potential corrosion.
- Read all instructions carefully and ensure they are fully understood before fitting.
- The radiator surface can reach very high temperatures; keep children and persons with disabilities supervised.
- Do not hang heavy objects or lean body weight against the radiator.
- Never cover the top of the radiator, as this reduces heating efficiency and can cause corrosion.
Important Notes
- Read and follow all safety rules and operating instructions before using the product.
- Even if packaged, radiators should not be exposed to external environmental conditions (rain, snow, sun). Store in dry, closed conditions.
- Do not remove shrink-wrap packaging until the radiator is ready for wall fitting. Radiators with plaster or paint applied cannot be cleaned or restored.
- Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional in accordance with relevant British and European Standards (BS7593:2006 & EN14336:2004).
- This radiator is made from mild steel and is susceptible to corrosion. Install only in systems with a chemical inhibitor added to the water circuit. Apply the correct inhibitor after installation as per manufacturer guidelines. Maintain correct water pressure. Consult a plumber if unsure.
- This mild steel radiator is not suitable for 'direct central heating systems' (where hot water is also used for taps). Use an aluminium or stainless steel radiator for such systems. Consult a plumber if unsure.
- Ensure the central heating system is isolated before any work.
- Use correct tools and fittings, and wear necessary PPE.
Assembly Instructions
Step 01: Mounting Brackets
This step illustrates three mounting bracket configurations (T11, T21, T22) for different radiator types. Each diagram shows bracket placement on a wall with specific measurements for height and distance from the bottom (e.g., 84±2/99±2 mm, 48±2/63±2 mm, 31±2/46±2 mm). A minimum wall clearance of 110 mm is indicated.
Step 02: Prepare Wall Fixings
The diagram shows marking the wall for bracket positions. It then illustrates drilling holes using an 8mm drill bit (Ø8 mm) and inserting wall plugs (part 06) into the holes. An arrow indicates the direction of insertion.
Step 03: Attach Brackets
This step shows the wall brackets (part 07) being securely attached to the wall using screws.
Step 04: Assemble Radiator Frame
The diagram depicts the assembly of the radiator's frame structure, showing how the side panels and top/bottom bars connect to form the support for the radiator body.
Step 05: Mount Radiator
This illustration shows the main radiator body (part 01) being attached to the assembled frame.
Step 06: Install Valves
The final assembly step shows the thermostatic radiator valve (part 04) and the bleed valve (part 05) being mounted onto the radiator connections. A torque specification of 10 Nm is indicated for tightening the valves.
Operation
EN: To put the radiator into use, open the radiator valve. Make sure that the central heating system is operating. Check if the radiator gets warm. If not, take all the air out of the radiator until water comes out, by loosening the bleed valve with a bleed key or screwdriver. In case of a problem, get authorized service support.
Care and Maintenance
EN: Wipe the surface clean with a soft, damp cloth. Never use any solvents, scourers, abrasives, bleach, acids, strong detergents, aggressive chemical cleaners, or solvent-type cleaning solutions on the product. When disposing of this radiator, it should be sent to a metal recycle centre, following local rules. To prevent issues with returns, check with the store if spare parts are available.
