Safety Information

Before You Start

  • Check that all components are present and that you are entirely satisfied with the size, design, and finish before starting installation.
  • The blind plug, purge plug, and fastenings are included in the package. Remove the package carefully to avoid damaging the radiator's paint.
  • If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the supplier immediately.
  • Radiator should be installed using the supplied brackets.
  • Fixings supplied are for solid wall connections. If connecting to hollow walls (e.g., plasterboard), fix to internal timbers or use appropriate fixings.
  • When drilling or fixing into walls, floors, or ceilings, check for any pipes and wires before commencing.
  • Remove and dispose of plastic caps on threaded connections before installation.
  • Ensure the radiator is positioned for easy connection to the central heating system. Refer to dimensioned sketches for correct hole positions.
  • Radiator valves are not supplied and must be installed separately. A thermostatic valve is recommended for local temperature control, comfort, and economy.
  • Fitting reflective panels on the wall behind the radiator can improve efficiency.

General Safety

  • Never allow children or persons unable to operate the appliance safely to use it without supervision.
  • Dispose of plastic bags carefully and keep them away from children.
  • Note that the contents include small/sharp components that require careful handling. Keep away from children.
  • Lift the radiator using correct posture and by holding from both ends. Seek assistance if too heavy.

Warnings

  • Once fitted, this radiator requires plumbing and commissioning into a central heating system. Seek professional advice if unsure.
  • Panel radiators must always have water circulating. Dehydrated radiators can perforate due to corrosion. Frequent changes of radiator water and refilling with oxygen-rich water accelerate corrosion (rusting) and premature perforation.
  • Panel radiators should not be used outdoors. The ambient temperature should not fall below 0°C. Freezing of water damages the radiator and installation.
  • This radiator is NOT recommended for use in centralized national heating systems. Use in such systems may reduce the warranty to a maximum of 2 years due to potential corrosion.
  • Read and understand all instructions carefully before fitting.
  • The surface can reach high temperatures, making it unsuitable for environments with risks. Persons with disabilities and young children should not be left unattended near the radiator.
  • The radiator is not designed to bear excessive weight. Do not hang heavy objects or lean body weight against it.
  • Never cover the top of the radiator. This obstructs airflow, reduces heating efficiency, and can cause corrosion over time, especially if wet clothes are placed on it.

Important Notes

  • Read and follow all safety rules and operating instructions before using the product.
  • Even if packaged, radiators should not be exposed to external environmental conditions (rain, snow, sun, etc.). Store in dry, closed conditions.
  • Do not remove the shrink-wrapped packaging until the radiator is ready for wall fitting. Radiators with plaster or paint applied cannot be cleaned or restored.
  • Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional in accordance with relevant British and European Standards (BS7593:2006 & EN14336:2004).
  • This radiator is made from mild steel and is susceptible to corrosion. Install only in systems with a chemical inhibitor. Apply the correct inhibitor as per manufacturer guidelines after installation. Maintain correct water pressure. Consult a plumber if unsure.
  • This mild steel radiator is not suitable for 'direct central heating systems' (where hot water is used for taps). For such systems, use an aluminium or stainless steel radiator. Consult a plumber if unsure.
  • Ensure the central heating system is isolated before any work.
  • Use correct tools and fittings, and wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Assembly Instructions

Step 01: Determine Mounting Positions

[Diagram showing wall mounting points and dimensions for radiator types T11, T21, T22. Dimensions like 84±2/99±2 mm, 48±2/63±2 mm, 31±2/46±2 mm, 53±2 mm, 70±2 mm, 104±2 mm are indicated. Minimum clearance of 110 mm from the wall is shown.]

Select the appropriate mounting positions based on your radiator type (T11, T21, T22) and the required dimensions. Ensure a minimum clearance of 110 mm from the wall.

Step 02: Prepare Brackets and Fixings

[Diagram showing parts 02 (brackets) and 03 (screws/plugs). A close-up shows how part 02 and 03 fit together.]

Identify the wall brackets (02) and fixing screws/plugs (03).

Step 03: Mark and Drill Wall

[Diagram showing a hand using a drill to make holes in a brick wall. A pencil is used to mark positions. A close-up shows a drill bit of Ø8 mm. Wall plugs (06) are shown being inserted into the holes.]

Mark the drilling points on the wall according to the chosen mounting positions. Drill holes using an 8mm drill bit. Insert the wall plugs (06) into the drilled holes.

Step 04: Attach Brackets to Wall

[Diagram showing brackets being attached to the wall using screws (07) and a wrench. The brackets are shown mounted on the wall plugs.]

Secure the wall brackets (02) to the wall using the fixing screws (07) and a wrench. Ensure they are firmly attached.

Step 05: Level Brackets

[Diagram showing a spirit level being used on the mounted brackets to ensure they are horizontal.]

Use a spirit level to ensure the brackets are perfectly horizontal before proceeding.

Step 06: Mount Radiator

[Diagram showing the radiator unit (01) being lifted and attached to the mounted wall brackets.]

Carefully lift the radiator unit (01) and hang it onto the wall brackets.

Step 07: Install Radiator Valves

[Diagram showing the installation of radiator valves (parts 04 and 05) onto the radiator. An indication of 10Nm torque is shown for valve tightening.]

Install the thermostatic valve (04) and lockshield valve (05) onto the radiator. Tighten to approximately 10Nm.

Putting the Radiator into Use

Open the radiator valve and ensure the central heating system is operating.

Check if the radiator is getting warm. If not, carefully loosen the bleed valve with a bleed key or screwdriver to release any trapped air until water starts to come out. In case of persistent problems, contact authorized service support.

Care and Maintenance

After Use

Wipe the surface clean with a soft, damp cloth. Never use solvents, scourers, abrasives, bleach, acids, strong detergents, aggressive chemical cleaners, or solvent-type cleaning solutions on the product.

[Diagram illustrating cleaning methods. A checkmark (✔️) indicates cleaning with a damp cloth. Crosses (❌) indicate forbidden methods: using solvents, scourers, abrasives, bleach, acids, strong detergents, or aggressive chemical cleaners.]

When disposing of this radiator, send it to a metal recycling centre and follow your local regulations.

To prevent issues when returning a product, check with the store if spare parts for missing or damaged components are available.
