Installation of the Wine Cooler

This appliance is designed for freestanding or built-in (fully recessed) installation. Ensure the floor is strong enough to support the fully loaded unit. Adjust the front leveling legs to level the unit.

Place the product away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid extremely cold temperatures (below 60°F/16°C) and moist/damp locations.

For optimal performance, install in an environment with an ambient temperature between 72°F and 78°F (22°C to 26°C).

Cabinet Opening Dimensions (for Built-in)

  • Minimum Width: 15.05" (38.3 cm)
  • Minimum Depth: 22.65" (57.6 cm)
  • Minimum Height: 34.25" (87 cm)

Built-in Cabinet Instructions: For built-in installation, allow 6 mm space on each side and at the top for air circulation. Ensure no objects block the front exhaust vent. Adjust leveling feet if the unit is too short.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows cabinet opening dimensions and how to adjust leveling feet. The dimensions are labeled: 34.25"H, 22.4"D (22.41" with Handle), 15.05"W. A close-up shows a screw being turned clockwise to screw in and counterclockwise to screw out.

Electrical Connection

NOTE: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorized service center.

Proper grounding is essential for safety. Use a three-prong plug for standard outlets.

NOTE: Plug into an exclusive, properly grounded wall outlet. Never cut or remove the third prong. Consult a certified electrician for any questions regarding power or grounding.

The appliance should be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet matching the appliance's voltage rating (115V/60Hz). This prevents overloading house wiring. Always grip the plug firmly to unplug; do not pull the cord. Replace frayed or damaged cords immediately.

The wall outlet and circuit should be checked by a qualified electrician to ensure proper grounding. Replace 2-prong outlets with grounded 3-prong outlets. Secure the cord behind the appliance.

Power Bar with Surge Protection (Recommended)

Electronic control boards are susceptible to power surges. If your location is prone to surges/outages, connect devices to a surge protector with an adequate joule rating. Consult an electrician for specifications.

Extension Cord

To avoid safety hazards, do not use an extension cord. If required, use a UL/CUL-listed, 3-wire grounding cord rated for 115 volts and at least 10 amperes.

Installing the Handle

Follow these steps to install the stainless steel handle:

  1. Remove the door gasket from the left side of the door by hand.
  2. Insert two handle screws, lock washer, and flat washer from the inside to the outside of the door.
  3. Align handle holes with screws. Tighten screws until the handle base is flush with the door surface, ensuring it is secure but not overtightened.
  4. Reinstall the door gasket.

Note: Handle screws are packed with other accessories.

Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates the handle installation process, showing the door frame, rubber gasket, flat washer, lock washer, screw, and handle.

Operating Your Wine Cooler

For optimal performance, install in an area with ambient temperatures between 66°F and 75°F (19°C to 24°C). Temperatures outside this range may affect performance.

Control Panel

  • ON/OFF: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds to turn the unit on or off.
  • INSIDE LIGHTING: Press the light button to turn interior lighting on or off.
  • TEMPERATURE DISPLAY: Press and hold the light button for 5 seconds to switch between °C and °F display.
  • [+] BUTTON: Increase temperature by 1°C or 1°F.
  • [-] BUTTON: Decrease temperature by 1°C or 1°F.

Diagram Description: An image of the control panel shows temperature display (e.g., 5.4 °C/°F), ON/OFF button, light button, and up/down arrow buttons.

NOTE: If the unit is unplugged or experiences a power loss, allow 3-5 minutes before restarting to prevent potential failure.

When first using or after a prolonged shutdown, a slight variance between set and displayed temperature is normal during the stabilization period.

Setting the Temperature

The temperature range is 40°F-65°F (5°C-18°C). Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the temperature by 1°C or 1°F.

Large Storage Capacity

The wine cooler can store approximately 33 traditional Bordeaux 750ml bottles. You can place 5 bottles on each shelf and 3 standard bottles in the bottom of the cabinet.

Shelves

The appliance is equipped with 6 removable wooden shelves. Open the door fully when pulling shelves out to avoid damaging the door gasket. Pull shelves out about 1/3 for easy access.

Wine Conservation Temperatures

Wine Type Temperature (°C) Temperature (°F)
Sparkling wines 5-8 40-47
Rosé wines 10-11 49-51
Dry/white wines 9-14 48-57
Red wines 15-22 58-72

Moving the Wine Cooler

  1. Remove all items (drinks).
  2. Tape down loose items (shelves) inside.
  3. Turn adjustable legs up to the base to avoid damage.
  4. Tape the door shut.
  5. Ensure the appliance stays upright during transport. If horizontal transport is necessary, place it on its back (door on top).
  6. Protect the exterior with a blanket or similar item.

Cleaning the Wine Cooler

Before cleaning, power off and unplug the unit. Remove all contents, including shelves.

  • Interior: Use a warm water-based baking soda solution (2 tbsp baking soda per 1 cup water). For shelves, use mild detergent, rinse, and dry. Ensure cleaning cloths are wrung out to prevent excess moisture near the control panel or electrical components.
  • Exterior: Wipe with warm water and mild liquid detergent, then rinse and dry with a clean, soft cloth.

NOTE: Disconnect the unit from its power source during operation to avoid electric shock or injury.

Automatic Defrosting

The unit defrosts automatically. Condensate collects in a drainage channel and evaporates from a drip tray.

Power Failure

Most power failures are short. Minimize door openings to maintain temperature. If a long power outage is expected, take steps to protect contents.

Charcoal Filtration System

Your wine refrigerator has an active charcoal filter to ensure air purity and odor-free storage. The filter is at the bottom of the rear panel inside. Change the filter every 12 months.

To replace the filter: Remove bottles and shelves. Grip the old filter, rotate 45 degrees counterclockwise, and pull it out. Insert the new filter and rotate 45 degrees clockwise to secure.

Diagram Description: A circular diagram shows a filter being rotated 45 degrees counterclockwise and then clockwise.

Energy Saving Tips

  • Place the refrigerator in the coolest area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • Ensure adequate space on all sides for proper ventilation; do not cover air vents.
  • Minimize door opening time, as frequent opening affects internal temperature.
