Getting Started: 6 Key Steps Before First Use
Please connect and update your Cook4me Touch Wifi before the first use.
- Plug in your Cook4me Touch.
- Select your language (e.g., ABC, 有).
- Set the current time (e.g., 12:00).
- Clean the appliance.
- Connect to Wi-Fi (for Wi-Fi models only).
- Scan the QR code to access the Cook4me touch playlist on YouTube for tutorials.

Discover Your Cook4me Touch
The Tefal Cook4me Touch is designed to assist you with every meal, offering quick and efficient cooking with a wide variety of recipe ideas accessible through its large touchscreen display.
Key components of the Cook4me Touch:
- Release/closure handle of the lid
- Visual closure reference mark
- Indicator light (model dependent)
- Rear condensation collector
- Silent valve
- Carrying handle
- Interior cooking bowl
The device features a tilting touch screen, a back button, and a Start/Stop and wake-up button.
Before you start cooking:
- Remove all stickers.
- Read the instructions carefully.
Cleaning Your Cook4me Touch
Follow these 5 steps for cleaning before first use and after each use:
- The Cook4me Touch Body: Clean with a damp cloth.
- The Touch Screen: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid metal sponges to prevent scratching.
- The Cooking Bowl: Can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand in hot soapy water. If the exterior turns off-white, a metal sponge can be used.
- The Water Tray (Condensation Collector): Clean with water or in the dishwasher, dry thoroughly, and ensure it is correctly reinserted.
- The Lid: Disassemble the lid by unscrewing the central nut, removing the inner part, and the cover. Clean all lid parts with water or in the dishwasher. Check the mobility of the locking rod and safety valve.
Installing the Steam Basket
Wash the steam basket with hot soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before installation.
How to install:
- Ensure the steam basket is clean.
- Squeeze the leg of the steam basket between your thumb and index finger to position it in the notches.
- Place the steam basket back into the Cook4me Touch cooking bowl using the handles.
Note: A slight odor may be released the first time you use the appliance; this is normal.
Safety First: Place your Cook4me Touch on a flat, dry surface before plugging it in.
Cooking with Cook4me Touch
Recipe Menu: Via Wi-Fi, access over 400 recipes (starters, mains, desserts) for delicious and quick meals. Depending on your model, Wi-Fi connectivity unlocks even more recipes.
Ingredients Menu: Input ingredients to let the Cook4me Touch determine the optimal cooking mode and time. It provides all necessary information based on ingredient weight and type.
Using Different Cooking Modes
The manual mode allows you to select cooking modes and times:
- Pressure Cooker: Lid closed and locked. Intensity levels: Low, High, Express. Timer delay mode is available.
- Steam: Use the steam basket. Lid closed and locked. Intensity levels: Gentle, None. Timer delay mode is available.
- Browning: Bowl heats from below. Lid open and raised. Intensity levels: Gentle, Medium, High.
- Stewing: Bowl heats from below like a stew pot. Lid open and raised. Intensity levels: Gentle, Medium, High.
- Keeping Warm: The appliance keeps dishes warm until serving. Lid can be open or closed.
- Reheating: Reheats dishes to the perfect temperature. Lid can be open or closed.
Cook4me Touch Functions
Explore various useful features:
- Recipe Book: Create personalized recipe books (e.g., "My Favourite Desserts").
- "What's in my fridge": Input available ingredients to find suitable recipes (model dependent).
- Settings Menu: Adjust brightness, sound, select country/language, and manage connectivity.
Safety Features
The Cook4me Touch is equipped with multiple safety systems:
- Safe Opening: The locking rod prevents opening when the appliance is pressurized. Wait for steam to stop exiting the valve before attempting to open.
- Over-Pressure Safety: The safety valve automatically releases excess pressure.
- If Safety Systems Activate: Unplug the appliance, let it cool completely, open, and check/clean the safety valve, ball, and cover. Contact an Approved Service Centre if issues persist.
- Pressure Regulation: Small amounts of steam may be released during pressure cooking to regulate internal pressure.
- Lid Safety: The metal lid, identifiable by its red safety valve, is specifically designed for the Cook4me Touch and should not be used with other appliances.
Troubleshooting
Lid Issues:
- Check for obstructions between the bowl and heating plate. Ensure the heating plate, central element, and area under the bowl are clean and the central element moves freely.
- Verify the lid release handle is in the fully open position.
- Ensure all parts of the metal lid are correctly installed.
- If the bowl is damaged, contact an Approved Service Centre.
Pressure Fails to Raise / Steam Not Released Properly:
- Check and clean the gasket seal; replace it every three years at an Approved Service Centre.
- Ensure the inner lid is present and the central nut is tight.
- Clean the locking rod and ensure its seal is correctly positioned and it moves freely.
- Check the decompression ball and its cover for cleanliness and correct positioning.
Cook4me Touch Does Not Decompress:
- If the ball cover is out of place, unplug, cool, remove the lid, and reposition the ball cover.
Water Leaking Behind the Appliance:
- Ensure the collector is correctly positioned and not overflowing.
- Do not exceed the maximum volume, especially with ingredients like cream, wine, or milk.
Lid Work Open (Steam Released):
- The locking rod remains upwards. Check that all steam has been released and allow the appliance to cool fully.
Lid Light Not Working:
- The light may be faulty. Take the device to an Approved Service Centre.
Screen Does Not Light Up:
- Ensure the appliance is plugged in correctly.
- Press the dot on the screen if the appliance is on standby.
Inner Metal Lid Cannot Be Removed:
- If the ball lid is positioned incorrectly, unscrew the nut, remove the inner lid, reposition the ball cover correctly.
Cook4me Touch Error Codes
- Error 1: Keypad communication error.
- Error 2: Wi-Fi communication error.
- Error 3: Power board communication error.
- Errors 04-09: Temperature sensor failure.
- Error 10: Heating error.
- Error 11: Pressure problem. Unplug, check components, clean, and ensure the valve cover is in place.
- Error 12: Excess pressure.
- Error 13: Low pressure due to lack of water. Add water and resume cooking.
- Error 15: Decompression fault. Unplug, cool, remove lid, and correctly position the ball cover.
- Error 16: Fails to build pressure. Add water and resume cooking.
- Error 17: Pressure fails to raise. Refer to troubleshooting section on pressure issues.
- Error 18: Failure to detect the locking rod.
- Errors 101, 108: Display or recipe loading error. Unplug, restart, or contact an Approved Service Centre.
