Regulating the Cook4me Touch
When pressure cooking, the appliance may emit small amounts of steam. This is a normal function that helps automatically regulate the pressure.
The Cook4me Touch Lid
The metal lid is designed exclusively for use with the Cook4me Touch and should not be used with other equipment. The lid is easily identifiable by its red safety valve.
The Lid Does Not Close
- Ensure there is no obstruction between the bowl and the heating plate.
- Remove the bowl and check that all parts are clean: the heating plate, the central element, and the underside of the bowl.
- Verify that the central element can move freely.
- The lid release handle may not be in the correct position. Ensure it is fully open.
- The metal lid might not be installed correctly. Confirm all lid elements are properly aligned.
- If the bowl is damaged (e.g., after a drop), it must be replaced at an Approved Service Centre.
Pressure Fails to Raise / Steam Not Released Properly
- The gasket seal may be dirty or damaged. Ensure it is clean and in good condition. The gasket seal should be replaced every three years at an Approved Service Centre.
- The inner lid might be missing or not tight enough. Ensure the central nut under the metal lid is securely tightened.
- The locking rod could be dirty or its seal missing. Clean the locking rod as per instructions and ensure it moves up and down properly. Check that the seal on the locking rod is correctly positioned.
- The decompression ball might be dirty or incorrectly positioned. Ensure the ball and its cover are correctly positioned and locked. Clean and dry the ball and its support.
Cook4me Touch Does Not Decompress
- The ball cover may be out of place. Allow the appliance to cool down completely, remove the metal lid, and reposition the ball cover correctly.
Water Leaking Behind the Cook4me Touch
- The collector may not be in place or could be overflowing. Ensure the collector is correctly positioned behind the appliance.
- The bowl might be too full. Ensure the contents do not exceed the maximum volume indicated. Be mindful of ingredients like cream, wine, or milk, which can cause overflow; respect the recipe quantities.
Lid Won't Open When Steam is Released
- The locking rod might still be in the upward position. Ensure all steam has been released and wait for the appliance to cool down fully.
Lid Handle Light Not Working
- If the indicator light on the lid handle is not functioning, the device may need servicing. Take it to an Approved Service Centre.
Screen Does Not Light Up
- Ensure the Cook4me Touch is properly plugged into the power outlet.
- The appliance might be in standby mode. Press any point on the screen to wake it up.
