Getting Started
To begin, connect the Power Supply unit to mains power near the terminal's location. Connect the power supply cable to the designated port. If using Ethernet or PSTN, connect the respective cables to the appropriate ports. The image shows the rear of the terminal with labeled ports for Ethernet cable connection, Pin-Pad cable connection, Power Supply connection, and PSTN cable connection.
After connecting the base and any additional cabling, allow the device approximately 4 minutes to power up.
For an Ethernet connection, the terminal should automatically obtain a valid IP address and establish a connection when connected to an Active Ethernet Port. The Ethernet symbol on the terminal's display should turn Green, indicating a valid IP connection. If the Ethernet symbol remains white, verify the connection to the terminal and your router to ensure cables are correctly connected.
Confirming Connection
To confirm your terminal is connected and ready to accept payments, perform a connection test:
- Press the Menu Button.
- Select the "Connection Test" option.
- The Terminal will print a receipt with "Connection OK" printed near the top.
- Your terminal is now ready to use.
For detailed instructions on performing transactions, please consult the provided Quick Reference Guide.
