  1. Auto defrost light: Illuminates when frost builds up on evaporator coils. Compressor cycles off, fan runs until frost melts.
  2. Bucket full light: Illuminates when the bucket is full or incorrectly positioned. Compressor and fan stop for safety. Operation resumes automatically when the bucket is emptied or repositioned.
  3. Display: Shows actual room humidity (± 5% accuracy) from 30% to 90%, or displays selection during humidity/timer programming.
  4. Smart dehumidify: Automatically adjusts humidity based on fluctuating room temperatures, stabilizing between 45%-55%. Humidity level cannot be adjusted in this mode. Press humidity adjust buttons to cancel.
  5. Filter button: Filter indicator light illuminates after 250 hours of operation. Press after cleaning the filter to turn off the light.
  6. Continuous button: Activates continuous dehumidifying operation.
  7. Fan button: Selects normal or high fan speed. An indicator light shows when high speed is selected.
  8. Timer button: Used to set the timer.
  9. Humidity adjust buttons: Sets relative humidity from 35% to 85% in 5% increments. Lower percentage for drier air, higher for more damp air.
  10. Power button: Turns the dehumidifier on or off.

Operation

  • Place the dehumidifier on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support it with a full water bucket.
  • Do not place on carpeting, as it blocks airflow. Avoid forcing casters over carpeting to prevent imbalance and spills.
  • Operate in an enclosed area, keeping nearby doors and windows closed for efficiency.
  • Maintain minimum clearances: 40 cm (16 inches) around air outlets and 20 cm (8 inches) on other sides for proper air circulation.
  • Recommended ambient operating temperature is between 5°C (41°F) and 32°C (90°F).
  • If the appliance is placed on its back or side, allow it to stand upright for 6 hours before plugging in to prevent internal component damage.
  • The default setting is 40% humidity and high fan speed. If ambient humidity is below 40%, the unit may not start automatically. Press the down button to lower the set humidity until it is below the ambient humidity.
  • For optimal performance, set humidity 10% lower than ambient humidity. Ambient humidity may vary up to 5% above or below the set humidity.
  • In normal conditions, it is recommended to set humidity between 40-45%.
  • It is normal for the dehumidifier to exhaust warm air from the air outlet.
  • The power cord storage band is found in the water bucket and can be installed by pressing it onto the back of the cabinet until it clicks.

Timer

Auto Off

  1. When the dehumidifier is on, press the timer button to activate the auto off timer.
  2. Use humidity adjust buttons to set the time in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.

Auto On

  1. When the dehumidifier is off, press the timer button to activate the auto on timer.
  2. Use humidity adjust buttons to set the time in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.

Using Auto On and Auto Off Together

Timers can be used simultaneously by setting one, then the other. For example, if the unit is running, you can set auto-off, then auto-on. If the unit is off, you can set auto-on, then auto-off.

Note: Timers will function only once and then the dehumidifier returns to normal operation. Turning the unit on/off or setting the timer to 0.0 cancels timer settings.

Water Removal

There are two ways to remove collected water:

1. Water Bucket

The dehumidifier automatically collects condensed water in the bucket. When the bucket is full, the compressor and fan turn off, and the full bucket indicator light turns on. The display shows "P2".

To empty the bucket, grip both sides and pull outward carefully. The bucket will be full and can be heavy.

Do not place the water bucket directly on the floor, as its uneven bottom can cause spills.

Empty the bucket and replace it. The dehumidifier will not function without the bucket installed. Never tamper with the water level float system.

2. Continuous Drain

Water can be drained using a standard garden hose with a female threaded end (not provided).

Before using, ensure all drain ports are clean. Ports are located inside the bucket compartment and on the back of the appliance. Clean with a pipe cleaner.

Required hose dimensions:

  • Female threaded end: ID:M=1"
  • Garden hose: ID≥05/16"

Remove the cover from the continuous drain outlet, attach the female threaded end and garden hose to the back of the appliance. Direct the other end of the hose to a bucket or floor drain.

Ensure the garden hose is not bent and runs straight down from the appliance. Gravity activates continuous drain; bends or upward motion will stop drainage.

The garden hose should be no more than 1.8 m (6 feet) long to prevent stagnant water and mildew buildup.

Notes:

  • Clean drain ports only with a pipe cleaner to avoid damage.
  • Clogged or dirty drain ports may cause leaks from the bottom of the appliance.
  • There is no drain pump; continuous drain operates by gravity alone.

Care & Maintenance

Air Filter

Clean the air filter approximately every 2 weeks. More frequent cleaning may be needed if there is significant dander or fur in the air.

The filter indicator light on the control panel illuminates as a reminder approximately every two weeks. Follow these steps:

  1. The air filter is behind the rear intake grill. Grasp the filter tab at the bottom of the grill and slide it downward to remove.
  2. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to remove large debris or dust.
  3. Wash the filter in lukewarm, soapy water (below 40°C/104°F) or a neutral cleaning agent.
  4. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
  5. Press the filter button on the control panel to resume normal operation.

Note: Do not operate the appliance without the air filter installed.

Cleaning

Ensure the appliance is unplugged before cleaning or maintenance to avoid electric shock.

Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth or a lukewarm, damp cloth if necessary.

Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, or other chemicals, as they can damage the finish and plastic parts.

Never pour water directly onto the appliance, as this can damage electrical components and wiring insulation.

Ensure drain ports (interior and back) are free of dirt and calcium buildup.

Note: Do not clean drain ports with anything more rigid than a pipe cleaner.

Note: Clogged or dirty drain ports may cause water leaks from the bottom of the appliance.

End of Season Care

Unplug the dehumidifier. Ensure the filter is clean and the bucket is empty. Allow both the bucket and the dehumidifier to dry completely before storing for the off-season. Water inside may take a few days to evaporate. You can speed this up by wiping the bucket with a dry cloth and ensuring the lower drain is empty. Store the dehumidifier covered in a dry location.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
