CONTROL PANEL

  1. Auto defrost light: Illuminates when frost builds up on evaporator coils. The compressor cycles off, and the fan continues to run until frost melts.
  2. Bucket full light: Illuminates when the bucket is full or incorrectly positioned. The compressor and fan stop for safety. Operation resumes automatically when the bucket is emptied or repositioned.
  3. Display: Shows the actual room humidity level (± 5% accuracy) from 30% to 90%, or the selected humidity/timer setting.
  4. Pump button: Activates the drain pump. Ensure a drain hose is connected before starting.
  5. Smart dehumidify: Automatically adjusts humidity based on room temperature fluctuations. Humidity level stabilizes between 45%-55% and cannot be manually adjusted. Press humidity adjust buttons to cancel.
  6. Filter button: The check filter light illuminates after 250 hours of operation. Press this button after cleaning the filter to turn off the light.
  7. Continuous button: Activates continuous dehumidifying operation.
  8. Fan button: Selects normal or high fan speed. A light indicates high fan speed.
  9. Timer button: Sets the timer.
  10. Humidity adjust buttons: Sets humidity level from 35% to 85% relative humidity in 5% increments. Lower settings for drier air, higher for more damp air.
  11. Power button: Turns the dehumidifier on or off.

OPERATION

  • Place the dehumidifier on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support it with a full water bucket.
  • Do not place on carpeting, as it blocks airflow. Avoid forcing casters on carpet to prevent imbalance and spills.
  • Operate in an enclosed area with doors and windows closed for efficiency.
  • Maintain a minimum clearance of 40 cm (16 inches) around air outlets and 20 cm (8 inches) on other sides for proper air circulation.
  • Recommended ambient operating temperature: 5°C (41°F) to 32°C (90°F).
  • If the appliance is placed on its back or side, allow it to stand upright for 6 hours before plugging in to prevent damage to internal components.
  • The default setting is 40% humidity and high fan speed. If ambient humidity is below 40%, the dehumidifier may not start automatically. Press humidity adjust buttons to lower the set humidity until it is below ambient humidity.
  • For optimal performance, set humidity 10% lower than ambient humidity. Ambient humidity may vary up to 5% above or below the set humidity.
  • Recommended humidity setting in normal conditions: 40-45%.
  • It is normal for the dehumidifier to exhaust warm air from the air outlet.
  • The power cord storage band is found in the water bucket and can be attached to the back of the cabinet.

TIMER

Auto Off

  1. When the dehumidifier is on, press the timer button to activate the auto off timer.
  2. Use humidity adjust buttons to set the time in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.

Auto On

  1. When the dehumidifier is off, press the timer button to activate the auto on timer.
  2. Use humidity adjust buttons to set the time in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.

Using Auto On and Auto Off Together

Timers can be used simultaneously. For example, set auto off for a running unit, then auto on for later. Or, set auto on for an off unit, then auto off for a later shutdown. Note: Timers function only once and then return to normal operation. Turning the unit on/off or setting timer to 0.0 cancels timer settings.

WATER REMOVAL

There are three ways to remove collected water:

1. Water Bucket

  • The dehumidifier collects condensed water in the bucket. When full, the compressor and fan turn off, and the "Bucket full" light illuminates. The display shows "P2".
  • To empty, gently grip the bucket by both sides and pull outward. Be cautious as it will be full and heavy.
  • Do not place the bucket directly on the floor; its uneven bottom may cause it to tip and spill water.
  • Empty the bucket and replace it. The dehumidifier will not function without the bucket installed.
  • Never tamper with the water level float system. Proper bucket installation is crucial for reliable operation.
  • Note: The pump arm may fall when removing the bucket; push it back into position before replacing the bucket.

2. Continuous Drain

  • Water can be removed using the provided connector and drain hose.
  • Before using automatic drain functions, ensure all drain ports are clean. Ports are located inside the bucket compartment and on the back of the appliance. Clean with a pipe cleaner.
  • Remove the continuous drain outlet cover and attach the provided connector and drain hose to the back of the appliance. Direct the other end to a bucket or floor drain.
  • Ensure the drain hose is not bent and runs straight down. Continuous drain relies on gravity; bends or upward motion will stop drainage.
  • The drain hose is 2 m (6.6 feet) long. Do not connect it to other hoses. If too long, water may not drain completely, leading to stagnant water and mildew.
  • Notes:
    • Do not clean drain ports with anything stiffer than a pipe cleaner.
    • Clogged or dirty drain ports can cause leaks from the bottom.
    • Continuous drain operates by gravity alone.

3. Pump Drain

  • Use the pump drain if continuous drain is inconvenient. The appliance first fills the bucket, then the pump arm moves water from the bucket through the drain and hose.
  • Do not connect the provided hose to another hose. Maximum pump drain hose length is 4.6 m (15 feet). If too long, water may not drain completely, leading to stagnant water and mildew.
  • Empty the water bucket every few days to prevent stagnant water and mildew.
  • To remove the pump hose, press inward on the ring around the drain and pull the hose outward.
  • Ensure the drain hose is not bent, as this can prevent proper draining and overwork the pump.
  • Important: If the drain pump is activated, water will exit the drain whether a hose is attached or not. Deactivate the pump when removing the hose to prevent floor damage from leaks.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

AIR FILTER

  • Clean the air filter approximately every 2 weeks. More frequent cleaning may be needed if there is significant dander or fur in the air.
  • The filter indicator light on the control panel illuminates every two weeks as a reminder. Follow these steps to clean the filter and restore normal operation:
  • 1. The filter is behind the rear intake grill. Grasp the filter tab at the bottom of the grill and slide it downward to remove.
  • 2. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to remove large debris or dust.
  • 3. Wash the filter in lukewarm, soapy water (below 40°C / 104°F) or a neutral cleaning agent.
  • 4. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
  • 5. Press the filter button on the control panel to resume normal functioning.
  • Note: Do not operate the appliance without the air filter installed.

CLEANING

  • To avoid electric shock, unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth or a lukewarm, damp cloth if necessary.
  • Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, or other chemicals, as they can damage the finish and plastic parts.
  • Never pour water directly onto the appliance, as this can damage electrical components and wiring insulation.
  • Ensure drain ports inside and on the back of the appliance are free of dirt and calcium buildup.

ERROR CODES

If the display shows an error code, unplug the appliance, wait 5-10 minutes, then plug it back in. If the error persists, call for service.

  • AS - Humidity sensor error
  • ES - Temperature sensor error
  • P2 - Full bucket
  • Eb - Bucket removed or not in the correct position

END OF SEASON CARE

  • Unplug the dehumidifier and ensure the filter is clean. Empty the bucket and allow both the bucket and dehumidifier to dry completely before storing for the off-season. Evaporation may take several days. Speed this up by wiping the bucket with a dry cloth and ensuring the lower drain is emptied. Store the dehumidifier covered in a dry location.

DISPOSAL

  • This appliance should not be treated as regular household waste. Take it to an appropriate waste collection point for electrical component recycling. Check local regulations for approved and safe disposal.
