METOD Cabinet Assembly

Screws(s) and plug(s) for the wall are not included. Assess the suitability of the wall to ensure that it will withstand the forces generated. Use screw(s) and plug(s) suitable for your walls and the intended load. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instruction carefully.

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare Base Panels
Insert 12x wooden dowels (112996) into the pre-drilled holes on the two base panels.
Step 2: Attach Mounting Plates
Attach two wall brackets (10049278) to the base panels using 2x screws (10046940) for each bracket.
Step 3: Attach Side Panels
Insert 6x wooden dowels (101351) into the side panels. Attach the side panels to the base panels, ensuring the dowels align with the holes. Secure using screws.
Step 4: Install Cam Lock Fittings
Insert 6x cam lock fittings (113434) into the designated holes on the side panels.
Step 5: Insert Back Panel
Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side and base panels.
Step 6: Attach Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the assembled structure. Secure it using 6x screws (101351).
Step 7: Install More Cam Lock Fittings
Insert 6x cam lock fittings (113434) into the designated holes on the other side panel.
Step 8: Square and Nail Back Panel
Ensure the cabinet is square (90° angles). Secure the back panel using 1x bag of nails (319503).
Step 9: Secure Back Panel
Continue securing the back panel with nails (319503).
Step 10: Secure Back Panel
Continue securing the back panel with nails (319503).
Step 11: Attach Cabinet Mounting Brackets
Attach 2x cabinet mounting brackets (10036383 / 10039201) to the inside of the cabinet sides using 2x screws (319503) for each bracket.
Step 12: Secure Back Panel
Secure the back panel further using 6x nails (319503).
Step 13: Install Shelf Supports
Attach 2x shelf supports (10116456 / 10116457) to the inside of the cabinet using 2x screws (10046940) for each support.
Step 14: Attach Wall Mounting Plates
Attach 2x wall mounting plates (10039571) to the back of the cabinet.
Step 15: Attach Cabinet Hanger Brackets
Attach 2x cabinet hanger brackets (124526) to the top rear edge of the cabinet.
Step 16: Attach Cabinet Mounting Brackets
Attach 2x cabinet mounting brackets (103693) to the cabinet.
Step 17: Install Shelf Supports
Attach 2x shelf supports (10116456 / 10116457) to the inside of the cabinet using 2x screws (10046940) for each support.
Step 18: Wall Mounting - Initial Attachment
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Ensure the wall is suitable and use appropriate wall fixings (not included). Attach the cabinet to the wall using 6x screws (10055570) through the wall mounting plates. Follow wall manufacturer's instructions for secure attachment.
Note: Diagrams show correct and incorrect methods for wall mounting. Always ensure secure attachment.
Wall Mounting
Securely attach the cabinet to the wall using the provided wall mounting plates and brackets. This is a critical safety step to prevent tipping.
General Procedure:
- Mark the desired position for the cabinet on the wall.
- Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the cabinet and its contents. Use appropriate wall fixings (screws and plugs) suitable for your wall type and the intended load. These are NOT included.
- Attach the cabinet to the wall using the provided mounting plates (10039571), wall brackets (10049278), and cabinet hanger brackets (124526, 124518/124519, 103693).
- Use screws (10035574 or 10055570 as indicated in diagrams) to secure the cabinet to the wall through the mounting hardware.
- Diagrams on pages 13-26 illustrate various aspects of wall mounting, including correct alignment and the importance of using appropriate fixings. Always refer to these diagrams for specific placement and attachment methods.
