- Braking: The MAX scooter is equipped with a dual braking system: disc brake [disc brake] and electronic brake [electronic brake]. The disc brake controls the rear wheel, and the electronic brake controls the front-wheel motor. It is highly recommended to use the disc brake preferentially for stopping. Sudden use of the electronic brake, especially at high speeds, can lead to falls.

- Install the App.
- Power on the HIBOY MAX Electric Scooter.

- When the scooter starts to glide, place both feet on the footrest and press the accelerator [accelerator].
- Release the accelerator to reduce speed slowly.

- Tilt your body towards the steering direction as you turn, and slowly turn the handlebar [handlebar].
8. Riding Notice
- Do not ride in the rain.

10. Safety Instructions
The Hiboy Max electric scooter is a leisure device. When in public areas, it is considered a vehicle and subject to vehicle risks. Follow manual instructions and traffic laws. Understand that risks cannot be entirely avoided; others may violate regulations, and you are exposed to road accidents like walking or biking. The faster the scooter, the longer it takes to stop. On smooth surfaces, the scooter may slip, lose balance, and cause falls. Use caution, maintain proper speed and distance, especially in unfamiliar areas.
Pedestrian Interaction: Respect pedestrians' right of way. Do not startle them, especially children. When approaching pedestrians from behind, ring your bell [bell] to alert them and pass on their left (in countries where vehicles drive on the right). When crossing paths with pedestrians, keep to the right at a low speed. When crossing pedestrian areas, maintain the lowest speed or dismount.
Hiboy shall not be liable for financial losses, physical injuries, accidents, legal disputes, or other conflicts resulting from actions that violate user instructions.
Do not lend your scooter to individuals unfamiliar with its operation. If lending to friends, ensure they know how to operate it and wear safety gear.
Pre-Ride Check: Check the scooter before every use. If you notice loose parts, low battery alerts, excessive wear, strange sounds, malfunctions, or other abnormal conditions, stop riding.
11. Folding and Carrying
Ensure the scooter is turned off. To fold: press the brake [brake], step on the folding latch [folding latch] while pushing the handlebar [handlebar] forward with force, then fold the handlebar down. To unfold: step on the folding latch [folding latch] again, unfold the stem, and push the handlebar [handlebar] until a clear click is heard. Ensure the click is heard for proper locking.
For folding questions, visit www.hiboy.com for tutorial videos.
When folded, lift the scooter by the stem [stem] to carry.
12. Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning: Wipe scooter body stains with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste [toothpaste] and a toothbrush [toothbrush], then wipe with a damp cloth.
Notes: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive solvents. Do not wash the board with high-pressure water spray. Ensure the scooter is off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap [rubber flap] is closed during cleaning to prevent electric shock or major problems due to water leakage.
Storage: Keep the scooter indoors in a dry and cool place when not in use. Avoid prolonged outdoor storage. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling accelerate battery lifespan.
Battery Maintenance:
- Use original battery packs. Other models/brands may cause safety issues.
- Do not touch battery contacts. Do not dismantle or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to prevent short circuits, which can damage the battery or cause injury/death.
- Use original power adapters to avoid damage or fire.
- Properly dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to protect the environment.
- Fully charge the battery after every use to prolong its lifespan.
Storage Recommendations:
- Store in a cool, dry place between 14°F and 104°F (-10°C to 40°C). Humid environments can cause condensation or water accumulation, damaging the battery.
- Avoid recharging only after completely exhausting the battery. Charge when the battery is low.
- Charge the scooter every other month to preserve the battery.
Brake Adjustment:
- If the brake is too tight: Use the allen wrench [allen wrench] to loosen screws on the brake caliper [brake caliper]. Slightly adjust the brake cable [brake cable] to shorten the exposed length, then tighten screws.
- If the brake is too loose: Loosen screws. Slightly pull out the brake cable to lengthen the exposed length, then tighten screws.
