02. Product Overview
Scooter Components: The electric scooter features a handlebar, front light, bell, control panel, throttle, folding mechanism, kickstand, rear brake light, and motor.
App Integration: Download the "Hiboy" app from the 'App store' (iPhone) or 'Google Play' (Android) to connect to your scooter.
Control Panel Functions:
- Power Button: Press to turn on the scooter. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off.
- Light: Press to turn all lights on or off.
- Speed Mode: Double-press to switch between modes: S (Sport, max 22 mph), D (Drive, max 16 mph), ECO (Energy Saving, max 11 mph).
- Temperature Indicator: Illuminates when the scooter needs to cool down. Pull over to the side of the road.
- Cruise Control: Icon lights up when activated. Press three times to enable/disable.
- Battery Indicator: Five lights indicate power level. Solid lights show higher charge; flashing indicates low power. Recharge when the last light flashes.
03. Installation Instructions
- Unfold the stem and push the folding lever until a click is heard. Unfold the kickstand to support the scooter.
- Attach the handlebar to the stem.
- Use the Allen wrench to fix 8 screws, ensuring they are tightened.
- Ensure your scooter powers on and off.
04. Charging
Open the rubber cover and insert the charger plug. Fill and fix the rubber plug after charging.
The charger's LED light turns red while charging and green when fully charged. The charger automatically cuts off charging upon full charge. Avoid charging for extended periods. Do not connect the charger if the charging port is wet. Cover the charging port when not in use. Charge indoors. Use only the manufacturer's recommended charger.
05. Operating Instructions
Always wear a helmet and safety gear to avoid falling and injury during learning.
- Turn the power on and check the power indicator. Note: The scooter cannot be turned on during charging.
- Step on the deck with one foot and slowly kick off the other on the ground.
- Once the scooter coasts, place both feet on the deck and press the throttle. The throttle engages when coasting speed exceeds 3.1 mph.
- Release the throttle to reduce speed gradually. Squeeze the brake lever for sudden braking.
- Tilt your body in the steering direction and turn the handlebar slowly.
06. Safety Instructions
- Do not ride in the rain. (French: Ne pas rouler sous la pluie.)
- Maintain speeds between 3.1-6.2 mph on uneven surfaces like speed bumps or rough roads. Bend your knees slightly to better adjust to these surfaces. (French: Maintenez votre vitesse entre 3,1 et 6,2 mph lorsque vous traversez des ralentisseurs, des seuils de porte d'ascenseur, des routes cahoteuses ou d'autres surfaces irrégulières. Pliez légèrement le genou pour mieux ajuster les surfaces mentionnées.)
- Be aware of overhead obstacles such as doors and elevators. (French: Attention aux portes, aux ascenseurs et aux autres obstacles aériens.)

07. Dangerous Situations to Avoid
- Do not press the throttle while walking alongside the scooter. (French: N'appuyez pas sur l'accélérateur lorsque vous poussez le scooter à marcher.)
- Always steer clear of obstacles. (French: Toujours rester à l'écart des obstacles.)
- Do not ride in traffic lanes or residential areas where vehicles and pedestrians are present. (French: Ne pas rouler sur les voies de circulation ou dans les zones résidentielles où les véhicules et les piétons sont autorisés à circuler.)
- Do not turn the handlebar violently during high-speed riding. (French: Ne tournez pas violemment le guidon lorsque vous roulez à grande vitesse.)

08. Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: When using this product, basic precautions should always be followed.
- Read all instructions before use.
- Close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children.
- Do not put fingers or hands into the product.
- Do not use if the power cord or output cable is frayed or damaged.
- Do not use at ambient temperatures below -10°C (14°F) or above 45°C (113°F). Recommended storage temperature is between 10°C (50°F) and 45°C (113°F).
- Charge the battery when ambient temperature is between 10°C (50°F) and 40°C (104°F). Never charge outside this range.
- The battery is not intended for use below -10°C (14°F) or above 45°C (113°F). Recommended battery storage temperature is between 15°C (59°F) and 25°C (77°F).
- Do not keep your feet on the rear mudguard. (French: Ne gardez pas les pieds sur le garde-boue arrière.)
- Do not attempt to ride up or down stairs, or jump over obstacles. (French: N'essayez pas de monter ou de descendre des escaliers, ni de sauter par-dessus des obstacles.)
- Keep your hands on the handlebar. (French: Ne pas garder les mains éloignées du guidon.)
09. Folding and Carrying
Folding the Scooter:
Ensure the scooter is turned off. Unlock the folding mechanism, bend the handlebar stem, and hook the clamp onto the rear fender. To unfold, unhook from the clamp, erect the handlebar, and lock the folding structure.
Carrying the Scooter:
Hold the handlebar stem with one or both hands to carry the folded scooter.
10. Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning:
If the handlebar and stem sway, tighten the screws on the folding mechanism.
Wipe stains with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth. Polish scratches on plastic parts with sandpaper or abrasive materials.
Notes: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other volatile solvents. Avoid high-pressure water sprays. Ensure the scooter is off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed during cleaning to prevent electric shock.
Daily Inspection:
Regularly inspect spare parts for abnormalities. Tighten any loose screws immediately.
Battery Maintenance:
WARNING!
- Use only original battery packs.
- Do not touch battery contacts, dismantle, or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects.
- Use the original power adapter only.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to protect the environment.
- Fully charge the battery after every use to prolong its lifespan.
- Avoid extreme temperatures (below 14°F or above 104°F) for the battery. Do not leave the scooter in a hot car. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
- If storing for over 30 days, fully charge the battery and store it in a dry, cool place. Recharge every 60 days to prevent battery damage.
- Always charge before the battery is fully depleted. Battery performance is reduced in cold temperatures (below 32°F).
- Damage from prolonged storage without charging is irreversible and voids the warranty.

[2] Max. load: the maximum allowable weight shall be kept within 265 lbs (driver and objects included) in any case. Consider an extra weight of the clothes or other accessories with us during the trip and the gravity generated by speed, the scooter will not support it if this load limit is exceeded.
[3] MAX range: measured when it is no wind and at 77°F, the scooter's fully charged to ride at an even speed of 11.4 mph (18.4 km/h) on a flat surface with a load of 165 pounds (75 kg). The real battery life varies with different factors of the load, humidity, wind speed and operation habits...etc.
12. Moving and Storage
Moving Warning:
When transporting the electric scooter, ensure it is turned off to prevent accidental activation. Lift the scooter vertically, supporting it correctly to avoid tilting or falling. Handle gently.
Storage Warning:
When the electric scooter is not in use, store it indoors in a dry and cool place. Do not leave it outdoors for extended periods. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling can accelerate tire aging and reduce the lifespan of the scooter and battery.
13. Instructions of Seat Assembly (Option)
Note: The seat is not included and must be purchased separately from the Hiboy store.
Assembly Steps:
- Identify seat components a, b, and c.
- Insert component b into component a.
- Ensure component b is perpendicular to component a and tighten with a wrench.
- Insert the seat into component c, tighten the screw rod, and press down the seat clamp.
- The seat assembly is now complete.
- Insert the assembled seat into the designated hole on the scooter.
- Open the safety ring.
- Pull the fixed handle and lower the seat.
- Tighten the screw with a hexagonal wrench.
- Fasten the fixed handle.
- Lock the safety ring.
- Seat assembly is completed.
14. Split Wheel Hub
The Split Wheel Hub design greatly improves the efficiency of changing tires compared to traditional wheels.
Disassembly Steps:
- If the tire contains air, deflate it first.
- Remove 6 screws.
- Remove the protection cover.
- Remove the gas nozzle fixing ring.
- Take out the tire.
Installation Steps:
- Place the new outer tire and inner tube together.
- Mount the tire onto the hub.
- Secure the air nozzle with the screw ring.
- Screw on the 6 screws.
Scan the QR code for an instruction video (QR code omitted).
15. Limited Warranty Statement
30 Day Satisfaction Guaranteed Return Policy:
Hiboy offers a 30-day return policy for undamaged products purchased through authorized channels. Returns must be requested within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility if the product has no quality issues. Hiboy is not responsible for lost return packages or products that cannot be verified. Returns with user-caused damage may be denied.
To Qualify for a Refund:
- Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from Hiboy within 30 days of receipt by contacting support@hiboy.com.
- Customer bears the cost of return shipping.
- Keep your receipt/invoice as proof of purchase for warranty service.
- Returned product must be in good physical condition.
- Include all original accessories with the return.
- Hiboy reserves the right to refuse returns without an RMA or missing parts.
Limited Product Warranty:
Hiboy products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the specified warranty period. Hiboy does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Hiboy is not liable for damage resulting from failure to follow instructions.
Remedies:
Hiboy will, at its option, repair or replace defective products. These are your sole remedies. Shipping and handling charges may apply. This warranty is valid in jurisdictions where products are sold by www.hiboy.com and is subject to applicable laws. Replacement products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 30 days, whichever is longer.
How to Obtain Warranty Service:
Request a Warranty Service Order from Hiboy within the warranty period by contacting support@hiboy.com. Deliver the product in original or equivalent packaging to the specified address. Proof of purchase may be required.
Limitation of Damages:
Hiboy is not liable for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, arising from any breach of warranty or legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions may not allow these limitations.
16. Hiboy App
- Scan the QR code to download the Hiboy App. Follow the registration process. Refer to the 'Question & Answer' section or contact support for assistance.
- Turn on the scooter.
- Select the device to connect.
- After connecting, use the app to control features like speed mode, speed unit, lock/unlock, and lights.
