- The app will auto-search and connect to the smart home device.
- Enter your home WiFi SSID and password.
- If there is no password, leave the field blank.
- eWeLink currently supports only the 2.4 GHz WiFi communication protocol. 5 GHz WiFi is not supported.
- Name the device to complete the process.
Device Status: The device may appear "Offline" initially as it takes about a minute to connect to your router and server. Once the green LED is solid, the device is "Online". If it remains "Offline", close and reopen the eWeLink app.

5. Problems and Solutions
For detailed FAQs, visit the Itead Smart Home Forum. If your issue is not resolved here, submit feedback via eWeLink.
- Device stays "Offline" after successful addition:
The device requires 1-2 minutes to connect to your router and the internet. Check the green LED status:
- LED quickly blinks once and repeats: Failed to connect to the router. Possible reasons include incorrect WiFi password, weak WiFi signal (device too far from router), or connecting to a 5 GHz WiFi network (only 2.4 GHz is supported). Ensure your router's MAC filtering is open.
- LED slowly blinks once and repeats: Connected to router and server but failed to be added to the device list. Power cycle the device. If it still doesn't work, try adding it again.
- LED quickly blinks twice and repeats: Connected to the router but failed to connect to the server. Verify your WiFi router is functioning correctly.
- APP cannot find the device in pairing status:
This might be due to your phone's cache. Turn off your phone's WLAN, wait a minute, then turn it back on. Power cycle the device and try pairing again.
- WiFi expired, can devices connect to LAN?
This scenario is not explicitly covered in the provided text, but typically, devices would need to reconnect to a valid WiFi network.
