1 APPLICATION & SAFETY INSTRUCTION

IP 65, IP 66, & IP 67 RATED

APPLICATION:

• The powerCON TRUE1 system is certified as appliance couplers with breaking capacity according to IEC 60320-1, EN IEC 60320-1, UL 60320-1, CSA C22.2 No. 60320-1.
• It serves to supply power to an appliance and from an appliance to other equipment.
• To be installed by qualified person only.
• Appliance couplers acc. to IEC 60320-1 are suitable to be used in cord sets and interconnection cord sets acc. to IEC 60799.

2 ASSEMBLY INFORMATION

A

Diagram: A cable is shown prepared for assembly. A black bushing (1) and a grey chuck (2) are positioned over the cable, ready to be slid onto it. Note: Chuck and Bushing cannot be placed over the cable after the assembly of the insert. For easier assembly, use a cable lubricant.

Diagram: Cable preparation for IEC 60320-1 / EN IEC 60320-1 shows 24 mm [0.94"] of outer jacket stripped and 9 mm [0.35"] of insulation stripped from conductors. Cable preparation for UL 60320-1 / CSA C22.2 No. 60320-1 shows similar stripping.

Diagram: Wiring for IEC 60320-1 / EN IEC 60320-1 shows L (brown), N (blue), and Ground (green/yellow). Wiring for UL 60320-1 / CSA C22.2 No. 60320-1 shows L (black), N (white), and Ground (green). A detail shows a contact with a screw, indicating Torx size T8 and a torque value of 0.7 Nm (6.2 inch pound / 0.52 lb.ft).

Diagram: Assembly sequence: 1. Position chuck (1) on insert (2). 2. Slide insert (2) with chuck (1) together into housing (3). Important note: Align the chuck by positioning the nose into the keyway. 3. Slide bushing (4) over chuck (1).

3 FOR DISASSEMBLY

Instructions: 1. Use the Neutrik tool HTLACB. 2. Position the tool on the surfaces and open the clamping sleeve. Diagram: The Neutrik tool HTLACB is shown engaging with the connector to release a clamping sleeve.

4 SAFETY INFORMATION

CAUTION

To ensure protection category, do not expose the connection to bending forces (e.g., do not attach loads to the cable, no free-dangling cable windings etc.). Diagram: A cable connected to the connector is shown with a label indicating "FORCE" applied to it, highlighting the risk of bending.

SAFETY WARNING

For safety reasons, appliance couplers must be replaced in case of any broken parts or excessive wear and tear.

5 Application and Safety Instructions

A Assembly

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Assemble Neutrik components only with designated and specified components.
• Replacement parts are suitable only when used with designated components. Product characteristics guaranteed only in intended combination.
• Protect from UV radiation if stored unassembled.

B Application

• Exclusively intended for installation in electronic equipment or similar devices.
• Not for medical applications, potentially explosive or flammable environments, or as climbing aids (Caution: Electrical hazards!).
• Rated values marked on product and packaging.
• Protect from oils and coolants.
• Ensure connectors are plugged in or protected against moisture with a suitable protective cap in humid environments.

C Operation

• Safety evaluated under standard laboratory conditions.
• Product safety in intended application is the responsibility of the party involved after mounting or installation.
• Check contact area for dry surfaces before plugging in.
• Product surfaces may cause burns at elevated ambient temperatures; use appropriate protective equipment.
• Customer is responsible for compliant use as an appliance coupler and for the de-energized state of appliance sockets/plugs.
• Use only Neutrik products and components.
• Unsuitable for vulnerable consumers.
• Suitable for normal use at ambient temperatures not normally exceeding +40 °C (average over 24h not exceeding +35 °C), with a lower limit of -5 °C.
• Protect against mechanical shocks.
• Check regularly for suitability and observe local maintenance regulations.

D Cleaning

• Clean only with dry and lint-free materials or compressed air.
• Do not clean while under load. Clean only when not connected to voltage and without cleaning agents.

E Damages

• Handle products with care.
• Check suitability if visible damages occur.
• Disposal must comply with applicable local laws and regulations.

6 Compatibility Information

Products are suitable for use with listed products. Suitability and safety must be assessed before commissioning when used with other products.
