Important Information

Safety Precautions:
- Do not expose this portable USB monitor to rain or moisture to prevent fire and electric shock hazards.
- Do not attempt to open the casing of this portable USB monitor.
- Before using this portable USB monitor, ensure that all cables are properly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If damaged, contact the dealer immediately.
- Avoid dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Do not place the portable USB monitor in locations where it may become damp or wet. Place the portable USB monitor on a stable surface.
- Do not insert objects or spill liquids into the openings of the portable USB monitor's casing.
- For technical problems with the portable USB monitor, contact a qualified service technician or the dealer where you purchased the device.
- This portable USB monitor is powered via a USB port that complies with LPS and SELV circuits according to IEC60950-1:2005.
Care and Cleaning:
- Turn off the monitor and unplug the cable. Clean the surface with a lint-free, soft cloth. Stubborn stains can be removed with a cloth with mild detergent.
- Alcohol or acetone-based cleaners should not be used. Use a cleaner specifically designed for LCDs.
- Never spray cleaner directly onto the display, as it may enter the device and cause an electric shock.
What is not a fault or problem:
- The display brightness may vary depending on the desktop background.
- If the same image is displayed for a long time, it may leave a residual image that slowly disappears. You can help this disappear by turning off the device for several hours.
- If the screen goes blank, flickers, or remains blank, contact your dealer or service center. Do not attempt to repair the monitor yourself.

1.3 Introduction
1.3.1 Front View
1. Pen Slot: Insert the included pen into the slot to allow the monitor to stand without the smart cover.
2. Power Button/LED: Press to turn the device on and off. The LED color indicates the status:

3. Menu Button: Press to access the OSD menu.
4. Blue Light Filter: Adjust the intensity of the blue light emitted by the LED backlight.
5. USB Type-C Port: Connect the monitor to your system.
1.3.2 QuickFit Function
The QuickFit function includes two patterns: (1) Grid and (2) Photo Size.
- Grid Pattern: Simplifies the arrangement of content and layout for designers and users, providing a more uniform appearance and authentic impression. Alignment Grid 1 rotates automatically when auto-rotation is enabled.
- Photo Size: Allows photographers and other users to view and edit their photos in their original size on the screen.
Note: Auto-rotation only functions on Windows operating systems with the DisplayWidget software installed.
Setup and Configuration
2.1 Monitor Stand Positions
MB16AC/ACR/ACM: You can set up the monitor in various positions using the smart cover.

2.2 Connecting the USB Monitor to Your System
A. Direct Connection: Connect the monitor to your computer using the USB Type-C cable.
B. Connection via USB 3.0: If your computer does not support the Type-C interface but only USB 3.0, please install the official driver from the ASUS website first. Ensure the USB Type-C cable and Type-C to A adapter are connected between the USB monitor and the system.
Please search the ASUS website for the latest drivers and DisplayWidget software.
2.3 Announcements
Since this product and the included smart cover contain magnets, there is a risk of damaging computer hard drives and other magnetically sensitive items.
Please be careful not to place the product on a computer while the computer is in operation (powered on or in standby mode). Otherwise, data on the hard drive may be permanently damaged, or the computer display may shut down due to the computer's automatic protection mechanism. If you store this product with a computer in a bag, the computer must be turned off to prevent hard drive damage.
OSD Menu (On-Screen Display)
3.1 OSD Menu (On-Screen Display)
3.1.1 Configuration
Follow these steps to navigate the OSD menu:
- Press the MENU button to display the OSD menu.
- Press ▼ to switch between menu options. The name of the currently selected option will be highlighted as you navigate the menu.
- Press the ► button to select the highlighted option in the menu.
- Use ▼ to select the desired parameter.
- Press the ► button to access the slider and make adjustments as indicated on the menu.
- Press ► or ▼ to return to the previous menu or to confirm and return to the previous menu.
3.1.2 OSD Functions
1. Splendid: This function offers 8 options that you can adjust as needed.
- Standard Mode: Recommended for document processing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- sRGB Mode: Ideal for displaying photos and graphics on the PC.
- Landscape Mode: Optimal setting for displaying landscape photos with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Theater Mode: The preferred setting for watching movies with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Game Mode: The preferred setting for playing games with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Night Mode: Best choice for viewing darker games or movies with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Reading Mode: Optimal for reading books.
- Darkroom Mode: Optimal option for dimly lit environments.
Note: In Standard Mode, functions like Saturation, Skin Tone, Sharpness, and ASCR cannot be configured by the user. In sRGB Mode, Saturation, Color Temp., Skin Tone, Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, and ASCR cannot be configured. In Reading Mode, Saturation, Skin Tone, Sharpness, ASCR, Contrast, and Color Temp. cannot be configured.
2. Blue Light Filter: Adjust the intensity of the blue light emitted by the LED backlight.
- Level 0: No change.
- Level 1-4: The higher the level, the more the blue light is reduced.
Note: When the Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Standard Mode are automatically applied. Brightness is user-configurable between Level 1 and Level 3. Level 4 is the optimized setting, compliant with TÜV Low Blue Light certification, and brightness is not user-configurable.
Eye Care Recommendations:
- Take breaks from using the monitor, especially during long work sessions. A short break (at least 5 minutes) is recommended every hour. Shorter, more frequent breaks are more effective than one long break.
- To minimize eye strain and dryness, rest your eyes regularly by looking at distant objects.
- Eye exercises can help reduce eye strain. Repeat these exercises regularly. If eye strain persists, consult a doctor. Eye exercises include: (1) Look up and down repeatedly. (2) Slowly roll your eyes. (3) Move your eyes diagonally.
- High-energy blue light can cause eye strain and AMD (age-related macular degeneration). The Blue Light Filter reduces harmful blue light by up to 70% (max.) to prevent CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).
3. Color: Select your desired picture color.
- Brightness: Values between 0 and 100 are possible.
- Contrast: Values between 0 and 100 are possible.
- Saturation: Values between 0 and 100 are possible.
- Color Temp.: This function offers three preset color modes (Cool, Normal, Warm) and a User Mode.
- Skin Tone: Includes three color modes: "Reddish", "Natural", and "Yellowish". In User Mode, Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B) can be adjusted by the user, with possible values between 0 and 100.
4. Picture Adjustment:
You can adjust Sharpness, Trace Free, Controls, VividPixel, and ASCR using this main function.
- Sharpness: Adjusts the image sharpness. Values between 0 and 100 are possible.
- Trace Free: Accelerates response time in overdrive technology. Values between 0 and 100 are possible.
- Controls: Sets the aspect ratio to "Full Screen", "4:3", or "1:1".
- VividPixel: ASUS exclusive technology for a realistic display for crystal-clear and detailed enjoyment. Values between 0 and 100 are possible.
- ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable the dynamic contrast ratio.
Note: 4:3 is only available when the input source is in 4:3 format.
5. System Settings: Function for setting system configuration.
- Splendid Demo Mode: Runs the "Splendid" function in demo mode.
- Auto-Rotation: Automatically enables/disables screen rotation. Note that Auto-Rotation only functions on Windows operating systems with the DisplayWidget software installed.
- GamePlus: The GamePlus function provides a toolset and creates a better gaming environment for various game types. The crosshair function is specifically designed for beginners interested in first-person shooters. To activate GamePlus:
- Select ON to access the GamePlus main menu.
- Use ► to switch between Crosshair, Timer, and Display Alignment.
- Confirm your selection with ✓. Press X to cancel the operation and exit.

- ECO Mode: Activates power saving mode.
- OSD Settings: Adjusts OSD timeout, DDC/CI, and screen transparency.
- Language: Select the OSD menu language. Available options include: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, and Indonesian.
- More: Access the next page of system settings.
- Key Lock: Disables all key functions. The key lock is deactivated by holding the MENU button for more than five seconds.
- Information: Displays monitor data.
- Power Indicator: Turns the power LED on/off.
- Power Button Lock: Disables/enables the power button.
- Factory Reset: Resets all settings to factory defaults by selecting "Yes".
6. Shortcut: Select this option to set the shortcut button.
Shortcut: You can choose between "Blue Light Filter", "Splendid", "Brightness", "Contrast", "Auto-Rotation", "Color Temp.", "QuickFit", and "GamePlus" for the shortcut button assignment.
7. MyFavorite: Load/save all settings on the monitor.
