Care & Cleaning
- Turn your monitor off and unplug the cable. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
- Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
- You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
- When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
- When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

1.3 Monitor Introduction
1.3.1 Front View
The front view of the monitor shows the following components:
- 1. Pen hole: Use the attached pen to insert into the hole; the monitor can stand up directly without the smart cover.
- 2. Power button/Power LED: Press this button to turn the monitor on/off. The color definition of the power indicator is as the below table:

- 3. Menu button: Press this button to enter the OSD menu.
- 4. Blue light filter: Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight.
- 5. USB Type-C port: The primary connection port for power and data.
1.3.2 QuickFit Function
The QuickFit function contains two patterns: (1) Grid (2) Photo size.
- Grid pattern: Facilitates designers and users to organize content and layout on one page and achieve a consistent look and feel. Alignment grid 1 will be rotated automatically if auto rotation is enabled.

- Photo size: Provides photographers and other users to accurately view and edit their photos in real size on the screen.

2.1 Monitor Standing Positions
You can stand up the monitor by several positions with the smart cover.

2.2 Connect the USB Monitor with System
Method A: Connect the monitor directly to a system with a USB Type-C port using a USB Type-C cable.
Method B: For systems without a Type-C interface but with USB 3.0, use a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter with the USB Type-C cable. Ensure the correct driver is installed from the ASUS website.

2.3 Announcements
This product and its attached smart cover contain magnets. Be aware of potential risks to computer hard drives and other magnet-sensitive objects.
Please ensure not to stack the product with the computer when the computer is in use (power on or standby mode). Otherwise, the hard drive could be influenced, leading to permanent data loss, or the computer display might switch off due to auto protection mechanisms. When placing this product together with a computer in a bag, ensure the computer is powered off to avoid possible hard drive damage.

3.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu
3.1.1 How to Reconfigure
Follow these steps to navigate and change settings in the OSD menu:
- Press the MENU button to activate the OSD menu.
- Press the button to toggle between options in the Menu. The option name is highlighted as you move between icons.
- To select the highlighted item, press the button.
- Press the button to select the desired parameter.
- Press the button to enter the slide bar and then use the button, following the on-screen indicators, to make your changes.
- Select to return to the previous menu or to accept and return to the previous menu.

3.1.2 OSD Function Introduction
1. Splendid
This function contains eight sub-functions that you can select for your preference:
- Standard Mode: Best for document editing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- sRGB Mode: Best for viewing photos and graphics from PCs.
- Scenery Mode: Best for scenery photo displaying with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Theater Mode: Best for movie watching with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Game Mode: Best for game playing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Night View Mode: Best for playing dark-scene games or watching dark-scene movies with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Reading Mode: Best for book reading.
- Darkroom Mode: Best for a weak ambient light environment.
Note on Configurability:
- In Standard Mode, Saturation, SkinTone, Sharpness, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable.
- In sRGB Mode, Saturation, Color Temp., SkinTone, Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable.
- In Reading Mode, Saturation, SkinTone, Sharpness, ASCR, Contrast, and Color Temp functions are not user-configurable.
2. Blue Light Filter
Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight.
- Level 0: No change.
- Level 1~4: The higher the level, the more blue light will be reduced.
Notes:
- When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Standard Mode will be automatically imported.
- Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-configurable.
- Level 4 is an optimized setting, compliant with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable for Level 4.
To alleviate eye strains:
- Take short breaks (at least 5 minutes) after around 1 hour of continuous computer use. Short, frequent breaks are more effective than a single longer break.
- Periodically rest your eyes by focusing on distant objects to minimize eye strain and dryness.
- Perform eye exercises regularly: (1) Look up and down. (2) Roll your eyes slowly. (3) Move your eyes diagonally.
- High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Using the Blue light Filter to reduce harmful blue light (up to 70% max.) can help avoid CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).
3. Color
Select the image color you like from this function.
- Brightness: Adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Contrast: Adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Saturation: Adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Color Temp.: Contains three preset color modes (Cool, Normal, Warm) and User Mode.
- Skin Tone: Contains three color modes including Reddish, Natural, and Yellowish.
[Note]: In User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 ~ 100.
4. Image
You can adjust the image Sharpness, Trace Free, Aspect Control, VividPixel, and ASCR from this main function.
- Sharpness: Adjusts picture sharpness. Range is from 0 to 100.
- Trace Free: Speeds up response time via Over Drive technology. Range is from 0 (slower) to 100 (faster).
- Aspect Control: Adjusts the aspect ratio to “Full”, “4:3”, “1:1”.
- VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology for lifelike visuals. Range is from 0 to 100.
- ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable dynamic contrast ratio function.
[Note]: 4:3 aspect ratio is only available when the input source is in 4:3 format.
5. System Setup
Adjusts the system configuration.
System Setup Options:
- Splendid Demo Mode: Activate the demo mode for the Splendid function.
- Auto Rotation: Enable/disable automatic image rotation. Note: Auto rotation function only works under Windows OS by installing DisplayWidget software.
- GamePlus: Provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment. The Crosshair function is designed for First Person Shooter (FPS) games. To activate GamePlus: Select ON to enter the GamePlus main menu.
- Press to select between Crosshair, Timer, and Display Alignment functions.
- Press to confirm your selection. Select to go off and exit.

- QuickFit: Refer to page 1-3 for details.
- ECO Mode: Activates ecology mode for power saving.
- OSD Setup: Adjusts OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency of the OSD screen.
- Language: Select OSD language. Available languages include: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, and Indonesian.
- More: Navigates to the next page of System Settings.
- Key Lock: Disables all key functions. Press and hold the menu button for more than five seconds to disable key lock.
- Information: Displays the monitor information.
- Power Indicator: Turns the power LED indicator on/off.
- Power Key Lock: Disables or enables the power key.
- All Reset: Selects “Yes” to revert all settings to the factory default mode.
6. Shortcut
Selecting this option allows you to set shortcut keys.
Shortcut Options: User can select from "Blue Light Filter", "Splendid", "Brightness", "Contrast", "Auto Rotation", "Color Temp.", "QuickFit", "GamePlus" and set them as shortcut keys.
7. MyFavorite
Load/Save all settings on the monitor.
