Usage Guidelines
Getting Started:
Begin with low speed, without overexertion, and take breaks. Gradually increase session duration or intensity. Maintain a straight back and ensure the room is well-ventilated.
Workout Types:
- Warm-up (10+ minutes): Gradual effort to prepare muscles and joints, or as a warm-up before other activities. Increase resistance for leg toning.
- Keep Fit / Lose Weight (22+ minutes/day): Moderate effort, regular practice. Aim to sweat slightly without breathlessness. WHO recommends at least 22 minutes daily for fitness, and 44 minutes for weight/fat loss.
- Improve Stamina (20-40 minutes): Sustained effort to strengthen heart and improve respiratory function. Increase resistance/speed. Perform at least three times a week.
Cool-down and Stretching:
Perform stretching movements after each session to relax muscles. Warming down involves low-level activity to gradually return the body to a resting state, preventing muscle pain and stiffness.
Troubleshooting
- Abnormal Distances/Speeds: Check console switch (VM/VE). Reset console by removing/reinserting battery. (Note: Pedal turn distances vary by bike type).
- Incorrect Units: Check console switch for MI (miles) or KM (kilometres).
- Counter Not Turning On: Check battery position (+/-). Try new batteries. Ensure cables are connected correctly.
- Noise/Intensity Issues: Do not attempt repair. Refer to the manual.
