1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the FLASH LED PAR 18x15W RGBWA+UV IP65. For safety reasons and to ensure trouble-free operation, carefully read these instructions.

2. Safety Information

  • Please keep this User Manual for future consultation. If you sell the fixture to another user, ensure they also receive this instruction booklet.
  • Unpack and check carefully for any transportation damage before using the fixture.
  • Before operating, ensure that the voltage and frequency of the power supply match the fixture's power requirements.
  • It is important to ground the yellow/green conductor to earth to avoid electric shock.
  • Disconnect main power before servicing and maintenance.
  • Use a safety chain when fixing this fixture. Do not handle the fixture by its head only; always use its base.
  • Do not use the device in high humidity conditions. Use within the temperature range of -10°C to +35°C.
  • In the event of a serious operating problem, stop using the fixture immediately. Never attempt to repair the fixture yourself. Repairs carried out by unskilled people can lead to damage or malfunction. Please contact the nearest authorized technical assistance center. Always use the same type of spare parts.
  • Do not connect the device to any dimmer pack.
  • Do not touch any wire during operation, as there might be a hazard of electric shock.
  • To prevent or reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose the fixture to rain or moisture.
  • The housing must be replaced if it is visibly damaged.
  • Do not look directly at the LED light spot while the fixture is on.
  • WARNING! The device must be connected to the power supply to avoid condensation.

WARNING!

IMPORTANT! Do not point strong light output from other fixtures at the LED PAR, as intense illumination can damage the display.

Figure Description: Lenses can focus sunlight and strong light, presenting a risk of fire and damage to the fixture. Shield or shade the head if necessary.

4. Installation

The unit should be mounted via its screw holes on the bracket. Always ensure that the unit is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and slipping while operating. Always ensure that the structure to which you are attaching the unit is secure and is able to support a weight of 10 times of the unit's weight.

Also, always use a safety cable that can hold 12 times the weight of the unit when installing the fixture. The equipment must be fixed by professionals. It must be fixed at a place that is out of the reach of people and where no one passes by or under it.

Note: The Polish text also mentions using the device within a temperature range of -10°C to +35°C, avoiding organic solvents for cleaning, installing on stable structures, and ensuring adequate ventilation (at least 15cm from surfaces, with clear vents).

5. Connection

The device is equipped with the following interfaces:

  1. DMX (in/out): XLR 3(5)-pin socket
  2. Power (in/out): powerCON socket

5.1 Connecting DMX Signal

The connection is performed using a cable with XLR-female to XLR-Male plugs.

CAUTION! At the last fixture, the DMX signal has to be terminated with a terminator. Solder a 120Ω resistor between signal (-) and signal (+) into an XLR plug and plug it into the DMX output of the last fixture.

DMX Connection Diagram Description:

  • 3-pin XLR: Female XLR has pins 1 (GROUND), 2 (DMX+), 3 (DMX-). Male XLR has pins 1 (GROUND), 2 (DMX+), 3 (DMX-).
  • 5-pin XLR: Female XLR has pins 1 (GROUND), 2 (DMX-), 3 (DMX+), 4 (unused), 5 (unused). Male XLR has pins 1 (GROUND), 2 (DMX-), 3 (DMX+), 4 (unused), 5 (unused).

Setup Example: A DMX Controller connects to a DMX 512 device.

5.3 Connecting Power Supply

The connection is performed using the power cable with a PowerCON connector (included). The device must be operated by qualified personnel.

Make sure that the power grid supply parameters are consistent with the device parameters and limitations are not exceeded.

CAUTION! In case of cable damage, do not attempt to repair. Replacement or repair can only be made by the manufacturer or by a person with appropriate permissions.

Using the lamp, the rate of change of power voltage should be within ±10%. If the voltage is too high, it will shorten the light's life; if it's not enough, the lamp will be dark. Please restart it after turning off the light for 20 minutes until full cooling. Frequent switching will reduce the lifespan of lamps and bulbs; intermittent use will improve the life of bulbs and lamps.

5.4 LED Display Function

The display shows functions and settings. The buttons are:

  • A: Function
  • B: Up
  • C: Down
  • D: Enter

How to Operate:

Press button A to cycle through eight different effects. The first two digits indicate the function. The last two digits indicate the DMX address or speed. You can modify these values using buttons B or C. Button D is used to confirm your selection.
