Flash Moving Head 19x15W Big Eye User Manual
Brand: Flash
Model: Moving Head 19x15W Big Eye (Art No P7100547)
1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Moving Head 19x15W Big Eye. For safety reasons and to ensure trouble-free operation, carefully read these instructions.
2. Safety Information
Please keep this User Manual for future consultation. If you sell the fixture to another user, ensure they also receive this instruction booklet.
- Unpack and check carefully for transportation damage before using the fixture.
- Before operating, ensure the power supply voltage and frequency match the fixture's requirements.
- It's important to ground the yellow/green conductor to earth to avoid electric shock.
- Disconnect main power before servicing and maintenance.
- Use a safety chain when fixing this fixture.
- Do not handle the fixture by its head only; always take it by its base.
- Maximum ambient temperature: 40°C. Do not operate where the temperature is higher than this.
- In case of serious operating problems, stop using the fixture immediately. Never attempt to repair it yourself. Repairs by unskilled people can lead to damage or malfunction. Contact the nearest authorized technical assistance center and always use the same type of spare parts.
- Do not connect the device to any dimmer pack.
- Do not touch any wire during operation, as there might be a hazard of electric shock.
- To prevent or reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose the fixture to rain or moisture.
- The housing must be replaced if visibly damaged.
- Do not look directly at the LED light spot while the fixture is on.
WARNING!
The Moving Head 19x15W Big Eye has a powerful pan motor. The torque reaction when the head is panned suddenly can cause the base to move if the fixture is standing unsecured on a surface. Do not apply power to the Moving Head 19x15W Big Eye unless the base is securely fastened to a surface or to rigging hardware.
Use 2 clamps to rig the fixture. Do not hang the fixture from only one clamp. Lock each clamp with both 1/4-turn fasteners. Fasteners are locked only when turned a full 90° clockwise.
When clamping the fixture to a truss or other structure at an angle other than with the yoke hanging vertically downwards, use two clamps of half-coupler type. Do not use any type of clamp that does not completely encircle the structure when fastened.
Position or shade the head so that the front lens is not exposed to sunlight or any other strong light source from any angle, even for a few seconds. [See Figure 2]. The Moving Head 19x15W Big Eye lens can focus the sun's rays, creating a potential fire hazard and causing damage.
Figure 2 Description: Lenses can focus sunlight and strong light, presenting a risk of fire and damage to the fixture. Shield or shade the head if necessary.
IMPORTANT!
Do not point strong light output from other fixtures at the Moving Head 19x15W ZOOM, as intense illumination can damage the display.

4. Installation
The unit should be mounted via its screw holes on the bracket. Always ensure that the unit is firmly fixed to avoid vibration and slipping while operating. Always ensure that the structure to which you are attaching the unit is secure and is able to support a weight of 10 times of the unit's weight.
Also, always use a safety cable that can hold 12 times the weight of the unit when installing the fixture. The equipment must be fixed by professionals. It must be fixed at a place out of the reach of people and where no one passes by or under it.
When unpacking, check for transport damage. Before connecting to the mains, ensure the unit is securely mounted. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by unstable mounting.
Ensure correct connection to the power supply and proper grounding. Verify that the mains parameters comply with the device's requirements. All operations involving connecting the unit to the mains should be performed by qualified personnel.
5. Connection
The device is equipped with the following interfaces:
- DMX (in/out): XLR 3-pin socket
- Power (in/out): powerCON socket
5.1 Connecting DMX Signal
Connection is performed using a cable with XLR-female to XLR-male plugs.
CAUTION!
At the last fixture, the DMX signal must be terminated with a terminator. Solder a 120Ω resistor between signal (-) and signal (+) into an XLR plug and plug it into the DMX output of the last fixture.
DMX XLR Pinout Description:
- Female XLR: Pin 1: Ground, Pin 2: DMX +, Pin 3: DMX -
- Male XLR: Pin 1: Ground, Pin 2: DMX +, Pin 3: DMX -
Connection Diagram Description: A DMX controller connects to a DMX 512 device using a cable. The DMX signal then passes from one fixture to the next via DMX output and input ports.
5.2 Voltage Specification
Input Voltage | Total Power | Frequency |
---|---|---|
100~245V | 300W | 50/60Hz |
5.3 Connecting Power Supply
Connection is performed using the power cable with a powerCON connector (included). The device must be operated by qualified technical personnel.
Ensure that the power grid supply parameters are consistent with the device parameters and limitations are not exceeded.
CAUTION!
In case of cable damage, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Replacement or repair can only be made by the manufacturer or a person with appropriate permissions.
When using the fixture, the rate of power voltage change should be within ±10%. If the voltage is too high, it will shorten the light's life; if it's not enough, the lamp will be dark. Please restart it after turning off the light for 20 minutes until full cooling. Frequent switching will reduce the lifespan of lamps and bulbs; intermittent use will improve the life of bulbs and lamps.
