TIMER [timer-button]: Sets the heater to automatically power off.

How to Use

Before use, check the appliance for visible damage. Do not use if damaged. Contact Vornado Air LLC at 1-800-234-0604 if damage is found.

  1. Use the integrated handle on top for lifting and carrying.
  2. Position the heater so airflow is not obstructed.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard grounded wall outlet.
  4. Press the power button [power-button] to turn the unit on and select a mode. Each press cycles through High (red LED), Low (yellow LED), or Fan Only (white LED). Press the power button [power-button] again to turn the unit off.
  5. Set the timer to automatically power off the heater in 4 hours by pressing the timer button [timer-button]. The white timer indicator light will illuminate. Press the timer button [timer-button] again to cancel the timer.

When turning the unit off by pressing the power button [power-button], it will run in fan-only mode to remove excess heat before shutting off. The fan-only icon will flash during this countdown.

Cleaning

Regular cleaning is necessary as the heater moves a substantial amount of air. Cleaning the exterior is recommended weekly. For service, return the heater to Vornado (see WARRANTY).

  1. Unplug the heater before cleaning.
  2. Use a brush attachment on a household vacuum cleaner to remove accumulated dust from the Inlet Grille on the back of the heater.
  3. Use a brush attachment on a household vacuum cleaner to remove accumulated dust from the Front Outlet Grille.
  4. Wipe down the entire heater with a soft, dry cloth.

Note: Do not modify the product with any aftermarket accessory.

[Tip]: Periodically blow out the heater with pressurized air to keep the heat element and motor clear of dust, hair, and debris. This also eliminates odors caused by particle accumulation.

Storage

During the off-season or after extended non-use, store your heater to ensure its longevity.

[Tip]: Cleaning is recommended before storage.

  1. Unplug the power cord and bundle it loosely.
  2. Cover the heater or place it back in its original retail carton if available to prevent dust accumulation.
  3. Store the heater in a cool and dry location.

Disposal

Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.

Reset Heater

Resetting Your Vornado Heater

Your Vornado Heater has a multilevel safety shut-off system to prevent overheating. Overheating can occur if inlets or outlets are blocked. If this happens, the safety shut-off system cuts power, and you must manually reset the heater.

  1. Power the heater off, then unplug the power cord.
  2. Remove any obstructions.
  3. Wait 5-10 minutes for the heater to cool down.
  4. Plug in the power cord and place the heater in the desired position.
  5. Power the heater On. It should now function normally.

Note: If the safety shut-off system repeatedly shuts off the heater or fails to reset, contact Vornado Consumer Services at 1-800-234-0604.
