The Edimax BT-8500 is a dual-mode (BR/EDR + LE) real Bluetooth 5.0 Nano USB adapter supporting a maximum data rate of 3 Mbps. It features a portable, ultra-small design and connects via USB 2.0, allowing you to plug into any USB port and enjoy high-speed Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
Please install the unit with the following safety restrictions:
- Do not place the USB adapter in or near hot/humid places, such as a kitchen or bathroom.
- There are no user-serviceable parts inside the USB adapter. If you experience problems, please contact your dealer for assistance.
- The USB adapter is an electrical device. If it becomes wet for any reason, stop using it immediately.

II. Hardware Installation
Please follow the steps below to install your Bluetooth USB adapter:
- Turn on your PC.
- ⚠️ If your PC or laptop has Bluetooth capability, please disable Bluetooth before using the Bluetooth USB adapter.

- ⚠️ Never use force to insert the USB adapter.
III. Driver Installation
Please follow the steps below to install the driver:
- Go to the Edimax website: https://www.edimax.com/edimax/global/.
- Enter model no. "BT-8500" into the search box to find your product, navigate to the Download section, and download the driver. A screenshot shows the Edimax website's download area with a search field for the model number.

IV. Adding Devices
Please follow the steps below to add Bluetooth devices:
- Go to Windows Bluetooth settings. You can do this by using the search bar or by right-clicking the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and choosing "Add a Bluetooth Device". A screenshot shows the Windows settings menu with the Bluetooth section open and options like "Add a Bluetooth Device".
- Select your Bluetooth device from the list and click "Pair". Then, confirm the passcode if prompted. Screenshots show the "Manage Bluetooth devices" screen and the "Compare the passcodes" dialog with a numerical code.

V. Uninstall A Driver
Please follow the steps below to uninstall the driver for your USB adapter:
