Installation Instructions
Place jamb plate (A) near the center of the door and above the entry lock. Close the door and insert the jamb bracket, with its open notch at the bottom, between the door and the jamb. Press in until it contacts the door stop. If clearance between the door and jamb is insufficient, a portion of the jamb's surface may need to be removed with a wood chisel to allow unrestricted closing.

Replace the bracket onto the jamb, mark the hole locations, and drill with a 1/8 in. bit to a depth of 3-1/2 inches. Secure the plate to the jamb using four 3-inch wood screws (AA).
Hardware Used: AA #10 x 3 in. Screw x 4

Place the storage bracket (C) on the wall, parallel to the lock plate assembly. Allow the chain to droop slightly for easier removal when unlocking. Pre-drill holes with a 3/32 in. bit. Secure the bracket to the wall with two #8 x 1 in. screws (BB). Slip one screw through the loop at the end of the chain before securing. Do not overtighten the screws.
