Installation Guide

Follow these steps for the initial setup of your Xiaomi TV A2.

1. Step 1: Unboxing

   Carefully open the TV packaging. The box contains the TV unit, accessories, and stand components. Follow the instructions to open the box safely.

2. Step 2: Placing the TV

   With assistance from another person (2 or more people recommended for large TVs), lift the TV and place it onto a stable, flat surface such as a stand or table. Avoid applying pressure to the screen.

3. Step 3: Connecting Cables

   Connect necessary cables to the TV's ports. Ensure the TV is placed on a soft surface like a table with a cloth to protect the screen during this process.

4. Step 4: Final Setup

   The TV is now positioned and ready for final connections and power-up.

Moving

• Disconnect all cables before moving the TV.
• At least two people are required to move large TVs safely. Avoid applying pressure to the LED panel and prevent excessive shaking or vibrations.
• When moving the TV to a new location or for repairs, use the original box and packaging materials.

Ventilation

• Do not cover ventilation holes or insert objects into the TV case. Maintain adequate space around the TV for ventilation.

Wall Mounting Specifics

• To ensure proper ventilation and prevent dust buildup:
• Do not mount the TV flat, upside-down, backwards, or sideways.
• Do not place the TV on shelves, carpets, beds, or inside closets.
• Do not cover the TV with fabric (e.g., curtains) or other materials (e.g., newspapers).

AC Power Cord Safety

• Insert the AC power plug completely into the AC outlet.
• Use the TV with a 200-240V AC power supply.
• Unplug the AC power cord for safety when connecting cables. Be mindful of cable placement to avoid tripping.
• Disconnect the AC power cord before performing any work on or moving the TV.
• Keep the AC power cord away from heat sources.
• Regularly unplug and clean the AC power plug. Dust accumulation with moisture can degrade insulation and pose a fire risk.
• Avoid excessive pinching, bending, modifying, or twisting of the AC power cord, which can expose or break wires.
• Do not place heavy objects on the AC power cord.
• Do not pull the AC power cord when disconnecting power; pull the plug itself.
• Do not connect too many devices to the same AC power outlet.
• Ensure you use suitable AC power outlets.

Children Safety

• Do not allow children to climb on the TV.
• Keep small objects out of children's reach to prevent accidental swallowing.

Optional Items

• Keep optional accessories or devices emitting electromagnetic radiation away from the TV to prevent image distortion or noise.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If you encounter any of the following problems, turn off the TV, unplug the AC power cord immediately, and contact a qualified service center:

• The AC power cord is damaged.
• The AC power outlet is unsuitable.
• The TV has been damaged due to a drop or impact.
• A liquid or solid object has fallen into the case through an outlet.

Usage Restrictions

Do not install or use the TV in the following places, environments, or conditions to prevent malfunction, fire, electric shock, damage, or personal injury:

• Places: Outdoors (especially in direct sunlight), near the sea, on ships or vessels, inside cars, in medical institutions, at unstable locations, near water, or in areas exposed to rain, moisture, or mildew. Avoid placing in areas with high sulfide content (e.g., public bath dressing rooms).
• Environment: Hot, damp, or dusty places; areas prone to insect entry; locations exposed to mechanical shock; near flammable objects (like candles). Avoid exposure to dripping or splashing water, and do not place liquid-containing items (like vases) on the TV. Do not use in damp or dusty environments, or rooms with steam or fumes (near stoves or humidifiers). Avoid boiling water, heating food, or using mosquito coils near the TV.
• Conditions: Do not use with wet hands, with the case open, or with unauthorized accessories. During lightning storms, disconnect the TV from the AC power cord and outlet. Do not install the TV in an open-air location. Failure to adhere to these conditions may result in personal injury, damage, or objects striking the TV.

Screen Damage Precautions

• Do not throw objects at the TV screen, as impact can cause breakage and serious injury.
• If the TV surface is damaged, do not touch the TV before unplugging the AC power cord to avoid electric shock.

• Relative Humidity: Less than 80%

General Precautions

• Watch TV in appropriate lighting conditions. Prolonged viewing in insufficient light can strain eyesight.
• The screen and case may become warm during operation, which is normal.
• The TV does not support the decoding of DTS-CD bitstream input via HDMI IN.

Using and Cleaning the Screen/Case

Before cleaning, ensure the AC power cord is disconnected.

• Wipe the screen and case surface with a soft cloth to remove dust. If dust persists, use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent.
• Do not spray water or detergent directly onto the TV, as it may drip and cause malfunctions.
• Avoid using scrub pads, alkaline/acid cleaners, scouring powder, or volatile liquids (alcohol, thinners, insecticides). Prolonged contact with rubber or vinyl products may also damage the screen and casing.
• Regularly clean the vents to ensure proper ventilation.
• When adjusting the TV's angle, move it slowly to prevent it from slipping or moving from its base.
