Getting Started: Installation and Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your Xiaomi TV Q2 series.

Step 1: Unboxing

Carefully open the packaging. Inside, you will find the TV, essential accessories, and the power cord.

Step 2: Placing the TV on a Stand

With assistance from another person, lift the TV and place it securely onto its stand.

Step 3: Preparing for Setup

For safe handling during setup, place the TV face down on a soft, flat surface, such as a table covered with a protective cloth.

Step 4: Initial Protection

The TV may have protective film on the screen and casing. Ensure all protective materials are handled appropriately.

Connectivity Options

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If the AC power cord is damaged, the AC power outlet is unsuitable, the TV is damaged from a drop or impact, or a liquid/solid object enters the case, immediately turn off the TV, unplug the AC power cord, and contact a Xiaomi repair center for qualified service.

Usage Restrictions

Do not install or use the TV in the following environments to prevent malfunction, fire, electric shock, damage, or injury:

• Places: Outdoors, by the sea, on ships, in cars, medical institutions, unstable locations, near water, or in places exposed to rain, moisture, or mildew. Avoid public bath dressing rooms due to potential sulfide damage.
• Environment: Hot, damp, dusty places; places prone to insects; locations with mechanical shock; near flammable objects (e.g., candles). Do not expose the TV to dripping or splashing water, or place liquid-filled items on it. Avoid rooms with steam or fumes (near stoves or humidifiers). Do not boil water, cook, or use mosquito coils near the TV.
• Conditions: Do not use with wet hands, with the case open, or with unauthorized accessories. Disconnect the TV during lightning storms. Do not install outdoors.

Screen Damage Warning

Do not throw objects at the TV screen, as impact can cause breakage and serious injury. If the screen surface is damaged, do not touch the TV before unplugging the AC power cord to avoid electric shock.

• Operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C.
• Storage temperature: -15°C to 45°C.
• Relative humidity: Less than 80%.

General Precautions

• Watch TV in appropriate lighting conditions to protect eyesight.
• The TV screen and case may become hot during operation, which is normal.
• The TV does not support decoding of DTS-CD bitstream from HDMI IN.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Always disconnect the AC power cord before cleaning.
• Wipe the screen and case with a soft cloth to remove dust. For stubborn dust, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
• Do not spray water or detergent directly onto the TV.
• Avoid using scrub pads, alkaline/acid cleaners, scouring powder, or volatile liquids (alcohol, thinners, insecticides).
• Clean ventilation vents regularly for optimal performance.
• When adjusting the TV's angle, move it slowly to prevent slipping.
