Installation Procedure
Mounting Requirements
The unit requires secure mounting. Ensure the following clearances are maintained: a minimum of 250mm above, 100mm below, and 100mm on the sides. The unit should be mounted with a tilt angle not exceeding 15 degrees. The weight of the unit is 16.5kg. The mounting dimensions are approximately 425mm in height, with specific widths and depths indicated for mounting points and the unit itself (e.g., 156mm, 147mm, 110mm). Cable entry points are designed for specific conduit diameters, such as 18-38mm and 32-38mm.
AC Wiring
Connect the AC power sources and loads to the appropriate terminals. For Inverter and Generator inputs, use copper cables sized 20-25mm². For Backup Load & Grid connections, cable sizing depends on the current:
- For currents less than 90A: Use copper cables sized 20-25mm².
- For currents between 90A and 150A: Use copper cables sized 20-50mm².
- For currents between 150A and 200A: Use copper cables sized 50-70mm².
DC and Control Wiring
Connect DC power and control signals between the Inverter and the STS unit. Use copper cables sized 10-16mm² for DC connections. Terminal M5 connections require a torque of 1.2-2 N·m. The communication interface utilizes specific pins for data transfer.
Grounding
Connect the protective earth (PE) terminal using copper cable sized 10-16mm². Ensure the M5 terminal is securely tightened to a torque of 1.5-2 N·m.
Power Sequence
The power-on and power-off sequence is critical for safe operation. Follow the indicated sequence: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5.
Communication Interface
The STS unit communicates with the Inverter via a dedicated interface. Key pins include:
- +12_S: Positive voltage signal
- GND_S: Signal ground
- STS_TX: STS transmit data
- RS485_A1: RS485 communication line A
- RS485_B1: RS485 communication line B
Commissioning and Monitoring
After installation, the unit requires commissioning and can be monitored for operational status. Refer to the user manual for detailed procedures on setup and monitoring.
