Product Overview

The DT8016AF4 and DT8016AF5 are DUAL TEC® motion sensors from Honeywell, incorporating anti-mask technology for enhanced security.

Installation Instructions

General Installation Notes:

Ensure installation is approved, homologated, and good practice.
Keep the area clear of obstructions.

Mounting Height:

Recommended mounting height is between 2.1 to 2.7 meters (7' to 9'), with an optimal height of 2.3 meters (7' 6").

Mounting Bracket Installation:

Use the provided bracket and screws (3.5 mm x 30 mm, #6 x 1 1/4"). Wall anchors are recommended for drywall installation. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened to the wall.

Wiring:

The sensor requires a power supply of 9-16 VDC, 15 mA (14 mA max). Connect the wires according to the terminal designations (e.g., V+, V-, TBL, T, C, NC, NO).

Sensor Configuration:

EOL Settings (End of Line):

The sensor features End-of-Line (EOL) settings for Alarm (RA), Tamper (RT), and AM/Fault (RF). These can be configured using DIP switches.

AM Enabled/Disabled:

The anti-mask (AM) feature can be enabled or disabled using a DIP switch. When enabled, the sensor will indicate an anti-mask fault.

Microwave Range Adjustment:

The microwave sensitivity (range) can be adjusted using a rotary dial from MIN to MAX. Start with the lowest setting and adjust as needed.

Walk Test Mode:

The sensor can be put into walk test mode for 30 seconds to verify coverage. During walk test, the LED will indicate motion detection.

Coverage Zones

The sensor provides different coverage zones:

Zone A (Look-down): 2 zones
Zone B (Lower): 12 zones
Zone C (Intermediate): 10 zones
Zone D (Long): 36 zones

The coverage pattern is illustrated with distances ranging from 0.5m to 16m.
