The Honeywell DT8016AF4 anti-mask motion sensor is engineered for mid to high-end commercial environments requiring a Grade 3 system. It delivers reliable protection and enhanced false alarm immunity through patented solutions, including DualCore™ signal processing. This sensor is ideal for challenging protection areas and integrates five patented solutions to improve reliability and simplify installation.
The sensor design facilitates easy access to connectors with its quick plug-in feature. It incorporates integrated End-of-Line (EOL) resistors and an enhanced walk test feature, saving installation time. The DT8016AF4 achieves optimum performance using X-Band microwave technology and Uniform Sensitivity Optics.
Features
- Plug-in electronics: Designed for easy installation with an automatic plug-in connector.
- Integrated End-of-Line (EOL) resistors: EOL resistors for alarm, tamper loop, and anti-mask are pre-incorporated, reducing installation time and service calls.
- Flash light Walk Test: Installation time is reduced as the walk test can be enabled by simply pointing a flashlight at the sensor.
- Mirror optics: Utilizes mirror optics, a reliable technology for optimal detection and false alarm ratio.
- Highest security approval: A high-quality performance sensor meeting the requirements of high-risk environments (EN Grade 3 or similar).
- Infrared anti-mask technology: Quickly detects intentional or accidental masks or blocks, sending a trouble signal upon mask conditions to significantly reduce security breaches.
- Extensive detection coverage: Offers an extremely dense, wide, and long detection range compared to similar products, providing superior coverage.
- Professional design: The DT8016AF4 sensor is designed for high-level security installations with a unique professional appearance.
- Patented PIR signal analysis solution: The sensor analyzes signals over a wide timeframe, integrating received signals before triggering an alarm.
- Patented look down solution: Settings can be easily changed by switching the look down enabler on and off, offering a more efficient and reliable solution.
- Patented self test solution: The sensor periodically tests the full microwave circuit by sending and receiving a test signal. An anomaly triggers the anti-mask/trouble relay.
- Patented vibration solution: Features a built-in shock component that overrides the PIR signal during vibration, ensuring the device remains in Dual mode permanently.
- Patented mounting solution: For wall mounting, the installer simply inserts the screw into a pre-defined location where it is automatically held, making installation quicker and easier.

Detection Patterns
Top View
The top view detection pattern illustrates a fan-shaped coverage area extending up to 12 meters (40 feet) in width and 16 meters (53 feet) in length. The pattern shows concentric arcs indicating detection zones at various distances from the sensor, specifically at 2m (7'), 4m (13'), 6m (20'), 8m (27'), 10m (33'), and 12m (40') from the sensor's center, extending outwards to 16m (53').
Side View
The side view detection pattern shows layered coverage zones. The sensor is mounted at 2.3m (optimal height). Detection zones are indicated at 0.5m, 1.85m, and 2.3m from the ground. The pattern extends horizontally up to 16 meters (53 feet), with distinct "Look-down," "Lower," and "Intermediate" zones covering distances from 0 to 16m (53').
