RR1001 Hospitality Universal Remote Instruction Manual

Introduction

Note: The RR1001 is preprogrammed to control LG & Vizio TVs.

Programming Methods

Direct Code Entry Method

  1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons.
  2. Enter the 4-digit code corresponding to the brand of your TV. After a valid code entry, the indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the indicator flashes 4 times quickly, then exits setup mode.

NOTE: After entering setup mode, if without pressing any button for 10 seconds, the remote shall quit the setup mode.

Code Search Entry Method

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons.
  3. Continuously press and release CH+ (or CH- to go backwards) to scan through the codes.
  4. If the TV is controlled (by changing the channel), press ENTER to save the code.

NOTE: After entering code setup mode, if without pressing any button for 10 seconds, the remote shall quit the setup mode.

Code Search Entry (Automatic Method)

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the SET button for 6-7 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the button. Now the remote is in the automatic code searching. Wait.
  3. When the TV is controlled (by turning off), press SET button to lock in the code. Your remote is now programmed. Test and make sure all buttons work properly. If not, repeat from step 1.

Quick Program using Brand Buttons from Chart

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold the SET and the respective TV brand button (0-9 keys, +100 or MUTE) according to table below simultaneously for 5 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; Now the remote is automatically searching the code of that TV brand.
  3. If the TV is controlled (by turning on or turning off), release the buttons to save the code and exit setup.

Code Identification

  1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons.
  2. Press and release SET. Now the remote is in the code identification mode.
  3. To find the first digit for the code stored, press and release the 1 key. Count the number of times the light blinks, this is your number for the first digit of your code. Example: if the indicator blinks five times, this means the first digit of the code is 5.
  4. To find the second digit for the code stored, press and release the 2 key. Count the amount of times indicator blinks. This is your second digit of your code.
  5. To find the third digit for the code stored, press and release the 3 key. Count the amount of times indicator blinks. This is your third digit of your code.
  6. To find the fourth digit for the code stored, press and release the 4 key. Count the amount of times indicator blinks. This is your fourth digit of your code. When you reach the fourth digit, remote exits setup mode.

NOTE: If there are no blinking, this means the digit is 0.

Remote Functions

Resetting the Remote to Factory Default

  1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons.
  2. Press the CC button and the light shall flash 3 times. Remote is now reset to its factory settings.

Setting the Sleep Timer

NOTE: The SLEEP button operates the Sleep function of your TV providing it supports the Sleep function. Alternatively, you can enable the remote to turn off your TV after a period of 1 to 99 minutes. The instructions are provided in this section. This feature works even if your TV does not have its own Sleep function.

  • First make sure you have your remote is programmed to your TV.
  • After successfully programming your remote, try pressing SLEEP button first and make sure on screen sleep option DOES NOT appear before continuing. If it does appear then you do not have to continue with the following steps.
  1. Press and hold the SLEEP button until the indicator light blinks and remains on. Then release the button.
  2. Using the numerical pad, press numbers keys 01 - 99 depending on the number of minutes you would like before the TV turns off. If you press 0 then 1 the TV will turn off in 1 minute. Indicator light will turn off to confirm. TV Sleep Timer is now set.
  3. Leave the remote pointing towards the TV with an unobstructed path. Remote will now turn the TV off when the number of minutes inputted has been reached.

NOTE: To Cancel, press and hold the SLEEP or POWER button for 3 seconds. Pressing any other additional buttons on the remote will not cancel the sleep timer.

Setup Key Lock

  1. Press and hold the SET and POWER buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; the indicator light shall remain on; then release the buttons.
  2. Press MUTE key four times and the indicator light shall flash five times, now the remote is locked.

NOTE: If to UNLOCK the remote, repeat the above steps.
