Threshold Profile Description
The Cal-Royal CR3361 threshold features a T-shaped profile, specifically designed for carpet and special purpose applications. Its top surface includes textured grooves for enhanced grip, while the base is engineered to integrate seamlessly into door frames. The profile is visually represented by a cross-section showing its T-geometry and a perspective view highlighting its overall form.
Installation Instructions
- Measure the width at the bottom of the door frame and cut the threshold to match the exact full width of the opening.
- If necessary, trim and notch the threshold ends to accommodate the side jamb stops.
- Mark and drill pilot holes through the pre-drilled holes in the threshold, then fasten with the provided screws.
- Seal both ends and along the sides of the threshold to ensure a complete fit.
- Operate the door multiple times to verify proper adjustment and confirm it does not impede self-closing and latching functions.

Material Compatibility: This threshold is intended for use with Listed Steel Frames and Classified Hollow Metal Steel Composite Type Fire Doors (rated up to and including 3 hours). It is also suitable for Wood Composite Type Fire Doors (rated up to and including 1-1/2 hours) and Wood Core Fire Doors (rated 20 minutes without hose stream).
