Exterior Mirrors
Exterior Mirrors
Exterior mirrors can be adjusted and folded with the ignition on and for up to 5 minutes after it is switched off (provided the driver's door has not been opened).
Press the corresponding switch to select the mirror for adjustment (the indicator on the switch will illuminate), then use the rotary-tilt switch to adjust the mirror position.
Mirror Adjustment Diagram
Diagram 1 shows the adjustment of the left mirror.
Diagram 2 shows the adjustment of the right mirror.
Diagram 3 shows pressing both switches to fold/unfold the mirrors.
Note: If the mirror is manually folded, or if it folds accidentally due to contact with an object, the mirror housing will not be locked. To re-engage the mechanism, fold and then unfold the mirrors using the switches.
A thermal switch temporarily disables the mirror power drive if the switch is pressed too often.
The folding power drive only operates when the vehicle is stationary or moving at a speed not exceeding 20 km/h (12 mph).
Mirror Tilt When Reversing
When reverse gear is engaged, the mirror position automatically changes to improve visibility when reversing.
The precise tilt position can be set when the mirrors are tilted. The next time reverse gear is engaged, the position selected according to the new adjustment will be used.
When reverse gear is disengaged, the mirrors return to their previous position.
Note: If the vehicle speed exceeds 7 km/h (4 mph) when reversing, the mirrors will return to their normal working position for improved visibility.
The automatic mirror tilt function can be deactivated or activated via the vehicle's settings menu. See page 62, INFORMATION AND SETTINGS MENU.
Automatic Folding
Through the company's dealer or its technical center, the mirrors can be set to automatically fold when the vehicle is locked and unfold when it is unlocked.
Note: If the mirrors were folded using the switches, they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked.
