IMPORTANT: Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.

IMPORTANT: Adult assembly is required.

General Assembly Steps

Remove stroller from box. The front wheels, fender, rear wheels, child tray, and parent tray MUST be installed prior to use.

Front Wheels Installation

1. Unlock the release lever. [Fig. 1a]

Unfold stroller frame by sliding the RED thumb trigger to the left and squeezing the RED pull trigger [Fig. 1b] while pulling backward on the stroller handle. [Fig. 1a]

To attach the front wheels, lean the stroller back so that it rests on the handle with the front and rear legs pointing upward. Position the front wheels over the front leg tubes so that the hole in the housing lines up and will slide onto the legs. [Fig. 1c]

Firmly push down until the wheels lock securely into place. Tug on each wheel to ensure they are both securely attached.

Fender Installation

To secure the fender to the frame, use the 3 screws provided.

2. Line up the front fender and press onto the front frame assembly [Fig. 2a].

Insert the 3 screws through the underside of the front frame assembly into the front fender's plastic tubes. Tighten the screws only until snug [Fig. 2b]. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Rear Wheels Installation

3. Position rear axle over the rear leg tubes, brake pedals facing the back. At the same time, push down applying equal pressure to both sides until they lock into place. [Fig. 3]

Child Tray Attachment

4. To attach the child tray: Push the tray downward and onto each side of the front armrests until both sides snap into place. [Fig. 4a] Check that the tray is securely latched in place. Repeat the above steps for the rear child tray.

⚠️ The child's tray is not a restraint device: always secure your child with the seat belt. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child's tray. Use care when attaching the child's tray on the stroller with a child in the stroller.

To access the child seat: Pull one side of the release lever [Fig. 4b] located on the underside of the child tray and lift upward. Either side of the child tray will lift and rotate out of the way to allow access to the front and rear seats. [Fig. 4c]

Rotating the Child Tray

5. To rotate the child tray: In order to attach an infant car seat to the stroller, the child tray must be rotated to the vertical position. Press red buttons on both sides of the child tray to rotate down 90 degrees. [Fig. 5]

Removing the Child Tray

6. To remove the child tray: Pull both release levers located on the underside of each side of the tray and lift upward. [Fig. 6]

Cup Holders (Optional Accessory)

This is an optional accessory item that can be purchased online at www.babytrend.com. The removable child tray can be replaced with 2 individual cup holders. It is ideal for an older child.

7. To attach the cup holder: Push the cup holder downward and onto each side of the front armrests until it snaps into place. [Fig. 7]

Canopy Attachment

8. To attach the front canopy: Line up the male fittings on the canopy with the slots on the armrest and push both fittings downward until snapped into place. [Fig.8]

To open the canopy, push forward on the front edge of the canopy while holding the rear of the canopy in place. To fold the canopy, pull backward on the front edge.

To remove the front canopy: Press the snap button under the armrest and pull to release the fitting from the slot. Repeat for the other side.

9. To attach the rear canopy: Line up the male fittings of the lower connection with the female fittings on the handle frame and push inward. [Fig. 9b] Button the top of the rear canopy to the frame. [Fig. 9a]

To remove the rear canopy: Unbutton the fabric of the rear canopy from the frame. [Fig. 9c] Then press both snap buttons on the inner side of the lower connection and pull outward.

Note: The canopies are only needed when using the seated positions for your children. They are not needed when using with the infant car seats.

Parent Tray Attachment

10. To attach the parent tray, position the tray so that the hinges for the storage compartment are facing forward. Snap the parent tray to the stand at the top of the frame. Check that the tray is securely latched in place. [Fig. 10]

Brakes

Before placing your child in the stroller, please follow the instructions below.

⚠️ Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.

11. To engage brakes, apply light downward pressure to the brake lever located on each rear wheel. The stroller may require slight forward or rearward movement in order to line up the teeth on the brake with each wheel brake cluster. [Fig. 11a]

Check that the stroller will not move and that both brakes are properly applied. To release, gently lift up on the brake lever. [Fig. 11b]

Securing the Child

⚠️ Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

⚠️ STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.

Tandem Stroller - 5-Point Harness

12. The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have 2 attachment positions. Select the loop position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder and feed the shoulder harness under the correct loop. To adjust harness slot, unhook the shoulder strap from the crotch buckle. [Fig. 12a]

Feed the shoulder strap through the harness spread slots. You can access these slots from the rear of the seat. Feed shoulder strap through appropriate slot and reattach shoulder strap to crotch buckle.

Carefully place the child in the stroller seat and bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders. Please see figure 12b.

To release: Apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until the clip is released. [See figure 13]. This process requires a moderate amount of effort so as to prevent an accidental release by your child. NOTE: Buckles may be hard to release when first used.

Travel System - Safety Belt

14. Strap the safety belt over the infant car seat through the seat belt slots on the infant car seat, connect the buckles together. [Fig. 14a]

The safety belts for the infant car seat are located in small pockets on outer sides of seat pads. [Fig. 14b]

Tighten the strap so the infant car seat fits snug and can't move.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE INFANT CAR SEAT STRAP IS ALWAYS TIGHTLY FASTENED AROUND THE INFANT CAR SEAT.

NOTE: When the stand feature safety belt is not used, you must store the stand feature safety belt back in its storage.

Jump Seat - 3 Point Harness

15. Secure the child with the jump seat 3-point harness [Fig. 15] when the child is sitting on the jump seat.

Platform - Safety Belt

16. Secure the stand feature safety belt behind the child and engage the buckle [Fig. 16]. This is the same safety belt you use to secure the rear infant car seat.

To Recline Seats

⚠️ The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old.

Front Seat Recline

17. The front seat has a two-position recline. To recline the seat, rotate the recline bar and press backward on the seat back. [Fig. 17] To place the seat in the upright position, press upward on the seat back while rotating the recline bar.

Rear Seat Recline

18. To recline the rear seat, locate the plastic adjuster and squeeze the ends. Loosen or tighten the strap to your desired recline position. [Fig. 18]

To Attach Infant Car Seat

To attach Baby Trend infant car seats, rotate child trays to the vertical position first. See "Rotate Child Tray" for more details.

⚠️ When attaching car seats, make sure to first attach the REAR car seat, and then attach the FRONT car seat. When removing, detach the FRONT car seat first, and then detach the REAR car seat.

⚠️ To avoid serious injury from falling, ALWAYS use the safety belt to secure both the FRONT and REAR car seats.

19. To attach the infant car seat in the front seating position: Attach the child tray in the front seating position and rotate to the vertical position. Recline the seat back. Position the infant car seat facing toward the rear of the stroller so the seat shell goes into the child tray and latches into place. [Fig. 19a]

To attach the infant car seat in the rear seating position: Attach the child tray in the rear seating position and rotate to the vertical position. Turn car seat support tabs on the stroller frame. [Fig. 19b] Position the infant car seat facing toward the rear of the stroller so the seat shell goes into the child tray and latches into place. [Fig.19c]

Check that the infant car seat is firmly locked onto the child tray then STRAP THE SAFETY BELT OVER THE CAR SEAT through the seat belt slots on the infant car seat, connect the buckles together. [Fig. 20c] Tighten the strap so the infant car seat fits snug and can't move.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE INFANT CAR SEAT STRAP IS ALWAYS TIGHTLY FASTENED AROUND THE INFANT CAR SEAT.

To remove the Infant Car Seat: Squeeze the release handle located at the foot-end of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat. [Fig. 20]

Jump Seat

To use the jump seat, please remove the rear child tray, rear canopy, and rear seat.

⚠️ The rear platform and jump seat are designed to accommodate a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old, has good balance and coordination, and is not over 40 inches tall.

To remove the rear child tray: See page 11 for details.

To remove the rear canopy: See page 13 for details.

21. To remove the rear seat: Detach the recline strap from the frame by folding and sliding the strap through the "D-ring" located on the end of the strap [Fig. 21a]. Unbutton the upper [Fig. 21a] and lower seat fabric from the frame [Fig. 21b]. The crotch buckle will fit through the slot. DO NOT remove the crotch strap from the seat.

⚠️ Do not use extra seat at this point. The harness strap must be adjusted before you start with the proper and safe use.

Jump Seat Pad

22. Remove the jump seat pad [Fig. 22a], pull crotch strap towards the rear of the stroller so the crotch strap will be orientated closer to the edge of the jump platform. [Fig. 22b]

Feed the crotch buckle strap through the provided slot. [Fig. 22c] Place jump seat pad over the jump seat. Button the jump seat pad to the stroller frame. [Fig. 22c]

To attach the rear seat, reverse the above steps.

Sit on Jump Seat

23. Have the child sit on the jump seat facing backwards. Secure the child with the jump seat 3-point harness. Part of the 3-point harness is stored in the pocket on the back of the front seat. Put the seat belt around the child's waist, and buckle to the crotch strap. [Fig. 23] Adjust the seat belt to be snug around the child's waist.

Stand on the Platform

24. Position the child on the platform on the back of the stroller. Be sure child is standing facing forward and hands are holding frame. Secure the stand feature safety belt behind child and engage buckle [Fig. 24]. Be sure that the child's feet are fully on the platform at all times.

To Fold Stroller

⚠️ CAUTION: Read the following section completely before folding your stroller!

⚠️ WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

25. Close the canopy as described in the canopy section.

Note: It is recommended to remove the child tray from the rear seat before folding.

Pull stroller backward several inches to rotate the front wheels to the front. [Fig. 25a]

To fold the stroller, slide the red fold lock with your thumb while squeezing the large red fold button in the center of the handle and push forward on the handle. [Fig. 25b]

Once the stroller begins to fold, release the red handle and push forward on the handle until the stroller is folded. Lock the release lever. [Fig. 25c]
