Precautions for Operating Your Watch
- Do not attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The gasket for water and dust protection should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If water or condensation gets into the watch, return it to your CASIO dealer or distributor immediately.
- Do not expose the watch to excessively high temperatures.
- Although the watch is equipped with a shock-resistant mechanism, avoid subjecting it to strong impacts or dropping it on hard surfaces.
- Do not tighten the bracelet too much. A finger should be able to fit under the bracelet.
- Use a soft cloth, dry or dampened with a mild soap solution, to clean the watch and bracelet. Do not use volatile chemical solvents (such as gasoline, thinners, cleaning sprays, etc.).
- Always store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
- Do not expose the watch to aggressive reagents such as gasoline, cleaning reagents, or aerosols. Chemical reactions with such agents can degrade the gasket, case, and finish.
- Some watch bands have their specifications printed on them. Be careful not to erase them when cleaning.
For Watches with Plastic Bands...
- You may notice a whitish powdery residue on the band. This substance is not harmful to your skin or clothing and can be removed by wiping the band with a cloth.
- If moisture is left on a plastic band or if such a watch is left in a high-humidity environment, the band may warp, crack, or break. Wipe off dirt or moisture with a soft cloth as soon as possible to preserve the plastic band.
For Watches with Fluorescent Bands and Cases...
- Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause fading.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescence color to fade. Wipe off moisture from the surface as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with other wet surfaces may cause the fluorescence color to fade. Wipe moisture from the fluorescent surface as soon as possible and discontinue unwanted contact.
- Strong friction of a fluorescent surface against another surface may cause the printed color to transfer.
