Introduction
Please read this information first.
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during storage and in the store. When the battery indicator starts to dim, replace the battery at your CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by rating (from I to IV) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's rating using the table below for proper operation.

Notes:
- I: These watches are not waterproof; avoid moisture.
- III: Do not press buttons underwater.
- IV: Buttons can be pressed underwater, but do not press recessed buttons. If seawater gets on the watch, rinse it with fresh water and wipe dry.
- Some water-resistant watches come with leather straps. Do not wear such models while swimming or in any other situation involving immersion of the strap in water.
Precautions for Using Your Watch
- Do not attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The water and dust-proof gasket needs to be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If water or condensation gets inside the watch, take it to your CASIO dealer or distributor for repair immediately.
- Do not expose the watch to excessively high temperatures.
- Although the watch has a shock-resistant mechanism, avoid strong impacts or dropping it on hard surfaces.
- Do not overtighten the bracelet. A finger should fit under the bracelet.
- To clean the watch and bracelet, use a soft cloth, dry or dampened with a mild soap solution. Do not use volatile chemical solvents (such as gasoline, solvents, cleaning aerosols, etc.).
- Always store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
- Do not expose the watch to aggressive chemicals such as gasoline, cleaning agents, aerosols. Chemical reactions with such agents can damage the gasket, case, and polish.
- Some watch bracelets have their specifications printed on them. Be careful not to rub them off when cleaning.
For Watches with Plastic Bracelets
You may notice a white powdery residue on the bracelet. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be removed by wiping the bracelet with a cloth.
If moisture is left on a plastic bracelet or if such watches are kept in a humid environment, the bracelet may warp, crack, or tear. To preserve the plastic bracelet, wipe off dirt or moisture with a soft cloth as soon as possible.
For watches with fluorescent bracelets and cases...
- Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause them to fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescence color to fade. Wipe off moisture from the surface as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with other wet surfaces may cause the fluorescence color to fade. Wipe off moisture from the fluorescent surface as soon as possible and discontinue the unwanted contact.
- Strong friction of a fluorescent surface against another surface may cause the printed color to transfer.
Display Indications
Press the [Button C]
to switch between modes. Each mode is described in detail in the following sections.
- Current Time Mode: Displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the
[PM Indicator]

ON/OFF. - Stopwatch Mode: Press
[Button B]
for mode indicator. Displays hours, minutes, seconds, and 1/10 sec. - Setting Mode: Displays year, month, date, and day of week.
Modes of Operation
Countdown Timer Mode
Pressing the [Button B]
cycles through the countdown time settings in the following sequence: 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 20 min, 30 min.
The countdown will start when the [Button B]
is released. When the countdown reaches zero, an alarm will sound for 10 seconds. Press any button to stop the alarm.
Daily Alarm Mode
If the daily alarm is set, an alarm will sound for 20 seconds at the set time every day. Press any button to stop the alarm. When the hourly chime is on, it sounds at the start of each hour.
Checking the Alarm Sound
Press and hold the [Button A]
in Alarm Mode to sound the alarm.

Pressing the [Button B]
in Alarm Mode sets the hours and minutes. Each press of the [Button A]
advances the hour value by 1. Pressing the [Button B]
sets the minutes. Each press of the [Button A]
advances the minute value by 1.
Pressing [Button C]
returns the watch to Current Time Mode.
Rapid Advancement of Digital Values: If you hold down the [Button A]
for more than 2 seconds, the digital value will advance rapidly. Releasing the button stops the advancement.
Turning Daily Alarm and Hourly Chime On/Off
Use [Button A]
to cycle through the following settings:

Stopwatch Mode
Operating Range: The total time displayed is limited to 59 minutes 59.99 seconds. If the measured time exceeds the maximum, the stopwatch resets to 00 and starts counting again.

Note: Module No. 506/526 do not measure intermediate times.
Setting Time and Calendar
- In Time Setting Mode, the first press of
[Button A]
adjusts seconds to a time signal. - Press
[Button B]
to advance the flashing value to the next digit. The flashing value can be changed. - Each press of
[Button A]
increases the set value by 1. Holding the button down advances the value rapidly. - Press
[Button C]
when setting is complete.
Values to Set: Seconds, Hours, Minutes, Month, Date, Day of Week.
Specifications
Accuracy: +/-30 seconds per month at normal temperature.
Current Time Mode: Displays hours, minutes, seconds, AM/PM indicator, month, date, day of week.
Calendar System: Auto-calendar set for 28 days in February.
Timer Mode: Input range: 1 minute to 30 minutes.
